Can anyone tell me where to find organic or free range Kool Ade?

Thanks

Martinis don't come from vodka and bacon don't come from turkeys!

don't know about "free range" (most fruits don't wander around much!), but if it exists, you'll find "organic Kool Ade" at Whole Foods ... no one else would even think of such a product.

Kool Ade has to be full of high fructose corn syrup, fructose, sucrose, etc., all of which can be "organic", i.e., derived from natural products raised without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, as well as anti-caking agents, emulsifiers, etc.

In addition, under certain circumstances, "artificial flavors" can be "organic" if you can make a product from organic corn or soybeans that tastes like orange or blueberry, your ingredient meets the definition of organic ... amazing what can fit under the USDA's "organic" umbrella.:raz:

Good luck!!

If this thread isn't a joke - why would you want organic kool-aid? And what would free-range kool-aid even mean? It seems to me that drinking something as inherently processed and unnatural as kool-aid violates the spirit of moving to a free-range, organic diet. I'm not trying to troll, I'm genuinely curious.

Nahh, the real trick would be finding Kool Aid that was grown at all. Don't they just cook it up in a beaker?

I'm having a hard time picturing a naturally flavored drink mix at Whole Foods. Lots of bottled juice/drinks but nothing powdered. They do have a gatorade powder knockoff, though, that's sweetened with stevia. I've tried it- it's not bad.

The most natural drink 'mix' I can think of is organic sugar and fresh squeezed organic lemons. Add water and you've got lemonade :)

I've heard tell of a still waaaaay back in the woods. A guy I know has kin who knows a guy who knows a guy.

Not organic, now. They don't mess with that all. Free-range for sure, though, honey.

I'll nose around there a bit next time I get taken snipe-huntin', and will let you know what I find.

Can't you just see a couple of new-age kiddies in an upscale suburban neighborhood setting up a stand to sell this on a hot summer day?

SB (I don't know why there couldn't be organic kool-aid if they have organic umbrellas?)
