I remember a store on 86th street with marzipan cookies. I need to get some today, premade ready to go. Local Balducci's has a box of 6 pieces in Fall designs for $20 that is my fallback. Anyone know where they are in stock, preferably fresh.

Thanks for any help

The Italian grocery store in Chelsea Market always has a selection in stock. I've never had them, so I can't vouch for freshness. I think Fauchon has them as well. I thought Elk Candy had closed?

I'm really NO HELP here at all, but yesterday afternoon I walked on 1st Ave from E67 St. to E46 St. and on the east side of the avenue I passed a shop with tons of marzipan items in the window. Including cookies! I actually even think that the word marzipan was featured on the canopy signage.

I'm also fairly sure Balducci's and Citerilla have it as well.
