Hi All:

I'm off to Vegas in a few weeks and would love to find out if there are any good Mexican restaurants on the Strip. Ideally we're looking for a place that is within a short walking distance from Caesar's.

While not actually Mexican food, I thought my lunch at Mesa Grill in Caesar's was quite good. Give dessert a pass, though. A little farther away down the strip, Diego in MGM Grand has been getting good buzz.

Go to Borders Grill at the Mandalay Bay. You can take the tram at least part of the way.

We had a really great meal there, for not much money (comparatively). Flavors are bright and fresh, and the trio of housemade salsas kick collective ass over almost anywhere I've been in the last ten years. At the very least, they're tied for first with a couple of amazing Mexi places I've been to.

I too am interested in inexpensive to moderately priced yet good Mexican in Vegas. It doesn't have to be on the strip, but somewhat nearby or downtown. I heard there was a place with 50 different tequilas.

I'm going down in June. Can't wait!

No, it wasn't there. The restaurants I've noted down to check out (not all of them, if I get to one I'll be happy) are:

-CozyMels

-SuperMex- has the 50 tequilas I think

-Taqueria Canonita

-La Barca ?? I can't read my writing!

Any comments?
