Just a heads-up -- a bottle of Loch Dhu Black Whisky is currently being auctioned on Ebay.

While it has its detractors, mostly apologetic, many a gourmand swears by the ever-increasingly-rare experience of this unique 10-year-old 40% single malt from Mannachmore Scotland. Last distilled sometime in the 1970s, the opportunity to "savour the smooth intense flavor and discover hidden complexities in this unique black whisky" will befall only a most fortunate few.

Last distilled? Probably you mean first distilled in the 1970s; Mannochmore Distillery opened in 1972.

Probably the oddest (some say worst) whisky ever produced; not exactly bad, but very very strange. I won't call it a single malt scotch though, but a mixture of whisky and caramel colouring.

Good lck for the auction however...
