Beer Can Sizes

Hi, does anyone know the laws regarding the different sizes of beer cans allowed in the US? Do any such laws exist? If so are these regualtions national or state wide. If anyone knows the answers to any of these questions I'd be really grateful.

Thanks

This isn't the definitive answer to your question, but a quick "ask jeeves" search turned up references to cans of different sizes, including commemorative cans.

My suspicion is that can size is dictated more by retailers, who want something they move in volume, like beer, to be a standard size and shape for easy handling, than by statute.

There are generally no restrictions on can size. Until pretty recently, Florida restricted beer bottles (not sure about cans) to a few common sizes, which meant, among other things, that almost every Belgian beer was barred from the state.
