Got caught up in a volunteer activity today, and the soft shells that I bought and had cleaned ( at about 2pm) never made it to the table tonight...any chance of using them tomorrow?

If I have to, I will either panko and fry them for a homemeade spider roll tomorrow, or trash them , but I'm tired and might just lean toward the wasted food decision.

If you respond that I have to use cook them tonight, please include appropriate cheerleader -like comments to encourage me to do so. :raz:

They don't smell fishy. I'll retire for the evening, and sniff again in the morning. Fishy, Ii'' heave it..if not, I'll go for a fried version tomorrow. Thanks, NIckn.

ok, for the record. if you are looking for a good soft shell..QUICK, throw caution to the wind.melt a LOT of butter and a littlle OOil..drench a naked crab in some mass produced Italian style bread crumb..throw it in sizzling fat in a non-stick..squirt some lemon or lime..cook it longer than you think you should.. 4 to 5 sizzling min on med-medhigh heat..crispy, crabby...really good. At least not wasted, see above!!!

I guess those crabs pulled you out of bed. Great midnight snack. I usually settle for spaghetti with butter and parmigiano or cheerios and milk. Sweet dreams.
