Kad Ban Ho Weekend market. It's a market of Muslim, Chinese and Burmese population. A very impressive and authentic one.
We had burmease pea porridge with rice noodles, and toppings, a steamed bun and the steamed cake I cannot recall the name of, which tastes strongly of yeast in a nice funky way, with mild, spices, brown sugar and/or honey. There were a few other flavors, including a nice looking purple taro flavored one, the last 3 pieces of which just taken as I came to take the picture. I remember we had seen such cakes in Taiwan back then.
