I think you mean "under cabinet" appliances.

Black & Decker

are the ones that are affordable for most people.

There are some extremely high end appliances but the cost is out of reach of most.

Smeg makes a built-in coffee machine.

Ooops, you're right - I do mean under cabinet, not under counter.

Thank you for your advice. I read that Black & Decker had their UC coffee makers recalled. Hopefully they have a newer model.

I had a B&D under-cabinet toaster oven that was ruined by a naughty cat, and I was dismayed to discover that they no longer sold them when I went to find a replacement. Apparently they sell them again now, though. I'll have to look for one because I've been without a toaster of any sort ever since.
