  1. here's Express's 800 number. 1-800-363-1310
  2. I'd like one in each flavor, please!
  3. Sorry I didn't make myself clear, Not the Moulin or it's plates that are gaudy. I was mentioning where the Moulin is located near Limoges and its product :)
  4. That's a wonderful book that She edited. There's a book reviewed in Sunday's NY Times that SHE wrote, "Garlic and Sapphires." It's about her six-year tenure as The Time's restaurant critic. Not all liked her tactics. I await what the chefs here have to say after reading it.
  5. I have not dined there. It's in a very bucolic setting in Haue Vienne near Limoges famous for it's IMO gaudy porcelaine. You will also be near, a place you must visit, Ordour sur-Glane, a village that was destroyed by the Germans and only a fw survivers. It is left in its sorry state as a memorial, less we forget.
  6. 1999 was her last updated 4th edition. It holds up well in spite of some closings and the death of poilane.
  7. We had lunch at the Brasserie Flo's Excelsior in Nancy and it seems to be very popular.
  8. Jonathan, Thanks for reporting back as you promised.
  9. I'll be interested in your diner at La Bastide de Moustier. Though I enjoyed our stay there, I was very disappointed in my dinner, the toughest lamb. This was the only disappointment in a place that I looked forward to. Back to the Colombe d'Or for a third time.
  10. I have a menu that Suzy Bru gave me. Did you have the Menu Dégustation or Carte Du Jour?
  11. Lucy, your photos are wonderful but made me go off my diet!. I find when I cook squid or octopus, if I dont cook them quickly, they get rubbery.
  12. Is there a photo of a toune vegetable?
  13. I was looking up some place in Patricia Well's "The Food Lover's Guide To Paris" and found LA TARTINE 24, rue de Rivoli, Paris 1
  14. I think of tartine as a breakfast food, that I've been served for so many years only at breakfast. That means from Cote d'Azur to The west coast,.I've never heard of a restaurant that serves only tartine.
  15. Thanks again. We loved the Moulin last year and that beautiful pottery she serves is made especially for her in Valbonne. Wish I could remember the name
  16. Sorry, I was given the wrong information. I came across these comments about closing the restaurant. http://fora.erobertparker.com/cgi-bin/ulti...=7;t=002194;p=0
  17. Thanks you so much for responding. Maybe better to go back to La Table De mon Moulin.
  18. We also had a delightful experience and the gracious host greeted each of us at our tables while we had our apertifs on the terrace. I only wish we could have dined outdoors.
  19. And, are they open for lunch?
  20. I read he was going to open one in New York.
  21. I'll be spending a night and dining at the L'Hotel. Les Ateliers de L'Image in St Remy, Provence www.hotelphoto.com The food is French/Japaneese. Has anyone dined there?
  22. French women are much smaller boned than we Americans so weight would show up more on them. I'm short but have large hands and feet . and am short WAAAAAAAA! Most of my friends are younger, not by choice but by interests and also being childless. Food is a big conncern for me, to eat foods in season, and not drown in sauces so that you know you are eating a good piece of fish or meat. Food should taste like it is IMHO.
  23. Margaret, I don't remember what We had, it was a few years ago and I never keep notes but sometimes the menus are given to me. I have the Chez Bru, Auberde de Eriden, Chez Fon Fon, La Petite Maison and several others around the country and brief notes for Moulin de ma Table. At the Auberge De L'Ill, the owner, a charming elderly gentleman also came to each table to greet the guests. mimi, a retired lover of good food in happy surroundings
  24. We ate on the terrace at the Moulin for lunch. Loubet came to each table to greet the diners. I recently bought his cookbook, "A Chef in Provence" He buys his chevre from a goat farm where we stayed for three days one year in Silvergues.
  25. Laidback, you beat to it :)
