  1. Loiseau's wife was interviewed on Tv, and she said he did have a history of depression.
  2. My favorite is from the Moulin Jean-Marie Cornille in Maussane. Mon through Saturday 8am to 12 noon and 2pm to 6pm. +
  3. a friend's photos of Domme, http://www.ofoto.com/BrowsePhotos.jsp?show...&Uy=xmttlf&Ux=0
  4. We liked Le Grand Bleu in Beaune.
  5. I subscribe to both. I hope you'll buy Kristin's little book, "Words in a French Life" very charming.. Only something like $14 including postage, I forget exactly.
  6. There are many unspioled villages in Provence. The Dordogne tends to be damp and alot of rain, and the Provencal diet, IMO, is healthier. Check out "France today" and the British "France" to find rentals.
  7. Í'm another fan of Chez Juju. Th loup cooked on fennel stalks is wonderful. you pick your fish from a tank, they weigh it than cook it. Have you tried(also in the Camargue) La Chassagnette?
  8. Oleana in Cambridge on Hampshire St and Troquet on Boylston in Boston. have not disappointed.
  9. I've been there dining on the waterfront but it was long ago. In the month of August they have water jousting tournaments. The joustlers are dressed in white costunes and as musicians play jousting songs as they try to throw their oponets with lances into the canal.
  10. there was a blurb about it today in the NY Times food section that it came out this week in Paris, a small paperback for about $20. Michelin denies his accusations.
  11. Though I read only alittle French, I subscribe to Pays de Provence. The articles are wonderful and suggestions where to eat or sleep. Another magazine I get, Cote Sud, featured "Le Lunch"Tell me more about this place. Is it on the Corniche
  12. One of the recipes is the popular potato dish from La Chassagnette, the organic restaurant in the Camargue.
  13. Barbaluc, what's the name of that restaurant that is new in Isle? I ate a few times at the Quai de la Gare.
  14. We loved both the Clos(tho a bit too formal) and the Moulin. I also like the Regalido in Fontveille. Chez Bru in Eygalieres, Vaccares in Arles
  15. Another vote for Chez JuJu in the Camargue. Be sure you have a small car should you go, only one car can pass at a time on the narrow winding causeway. You pick your fish out of the tank. Try the digestidf, "Camarguise" Other places in the Camargue "Les Tellines"and "La chassagnette"
  16. Thanks, Menton, I've been to most of the Perché villages but these two I missed. Will stay in Tourette and head back to the Alpilles. Last year we were at the Colombe D'Or . this timeto try again The organic restaurant in the Camargue that has rave reviews. We want to go back, La Chassenagnetteton, the wall has bay leaves under chicken wire.
  17. johnathan, I'll be stoping in Gourdon and maybe the Nid Láigle . Is there anything good on the menu.? There's su[[osed tp be another good place ther Auberge Provencal. Did you see it?
  18. In La Rochelle, I like Coutanceau's son place, "Les Flot."
  19. There's also a wonderful "Les Santons"in Mustiers.
  20. Merenda in Nice, and the Bar Rene Socca for the famous Nice Socca and for the expensive, but worth it, creamy fish soup called "Bourride" " L'Ane Rouge"
  21. Does that mean I can't take it back in tins as I usually do?
  22. I'm surprised no one has mention that wonderful Paté that's passed table to table?
  23. People all over the world have their likes....or...dislikes! I brought maple syrup because I live in New England, I chose the tins shaped as N.E, farm houses. One tin to Provence, the other to Normandy and woe was me, they all disliked it saying it was too sweet. However both coasts loved the Chevas Regal..much more expensive there.
  24. We had a wonderful meal at his Auberge De Eriden located in Tailloires, Lac annecy.
