  2. this is my first time making a heritage turkey for thanksgiving- my son is picking up the turkey wednesday pm at flatbrook farm in montague, new jersey- is the hype in nytimes etc. worth the extra money, etc.? joanne

I tried several different types of puerh- I have not found one that I enjoy-if it is an acquired educated taste to like it- I have failed- I have though been enjoying my tasting of oolongs-I have discovered which oolongs I enjoy the most- green-lightly oxidized/fermented oolongs from taiwan/formosa- i have sampled almost 20 different kinds of oolong from a variety of websites- the best are directly from taiwan-www.teahomeusa.com and www.floatingleaves.com i also enjoy the teas from www.shanshuiteas.com- joanne
  9. yes you are correct- www.kyelateas.com i also enjoy trying darjeelings from upton as well- my favorite s are the first flushes- www.lepalaisdesthes.com also has a good selection of darjeelings, too. joanne

    where is cafe located? memesuze gave some good advice-jenaer teapots are also nice for brewing tea including display teas-available from www.rishi-tea.com and www.adagiotea.com you may be surprised about your tea business if you present, and prepare teas well- including limited but good teas- joanne i am ready to stop by to try your cafe now-

  13. the best place to start exploration is to buy sample size teas-not samplers- many online sites have sample sizes- many of the sample sizes come in amounts of less 1 oz.-if you don't like a tea-you don't have 2-3oz. of it in your tea collection. i am not against purchasing samplers- www.rishi-tea.com www.tentea.com www.uptontea.com www.imperialtea.com www.teasource.com www.funalliance.com-they also have chinese tea 101 explanations joanne
  14. I think we should be tolerant of all people including those who enjoy scented/flavored teas/tissanes- I started out enjoying herbal tissanes and flavored teas- the next step is exploring other teas- please be patient-don't turn off the person drinking these "atroci-teas" joanne

  16. In Edgewater there is Mitsuwa(Japanese) and in Ridgefield there is Han Ah Rheum (Korean)- These are 2 of the best asian markets in area imho- Joanne

    I usually brew only enough for one sitting and a re-brew I use a timer or "eye ball the bubbles" When traveling I use t-sac and hot water joanne
  20. i enjoyed my visit to providence rhode island this past week-end- i had dinner at both gracies and new rivers cafe and enjoyed my dinners- thanx for your recommendations- i will definitely return to providence- joanne
  21. hi- i attended the first day of the take me 2 tea conference- the conference is geared for individuals who are involved in the tea busines- although not a business owner i enjoyed my time visiting the exhibit booths and meeting ppl involved in the tea industry joanne
