Thank you for outlining the process. I usually go the other way, taking the juices and adding just a bit of water to loosen all the scraps, then thicken everything with either roux or some starch. Hence my surprise that you got all that gravy from one bird. But your method sounds good (and yields more gravy), so I‘ll give it a go next time 🤗

The daily alignment process: little one wanted sausages, DW wanted something „fresh“, I wanted something spicy. Sausages need a carb-based salad. Everyone needed a veggie salad. DW needed something „now“, so I needed something quick to prepare. Little one needed to help me. Tomato mozz (chopped up by little one), pan-fried Thüringer Rostbratwurst sausage with onions, Currywurst, pasta salad. All happy !

Pizza & movie night - as pretty much every Sunday 🤗 The usual starting point: Salami & mushrooms … A bit misshapen, yet surprisingly tasty: feta & fresh courgettes, caramelized with some garlic & oregano … And a pizza that @liamsaunt probably would call Carbonara, but for some strange reason in my favourite pizzeria in Ludwigshafen is called Sofia Loren 🙄 Bacon, Parmigiano and eggs … Pizza bakes in about 3 min, so next time the eggs will go on top in the middle of that period … All very yummy. Enjoyed while watching Indiana Jones - Raiders of the lost ark … we want to see the new movie in the cinema soon and need to get the little one up to speed with the lore 🤗

35 oC and humid - very little drive to cook or eat. Well, after the aperitif the was a little drive to eat … Cupboard dinner: Giant beans in tomato sauce, fresh sheep & goat feta, pickled octopus (much to little ones delight), shrimps in lemon/rosemary oil, fuet, two types of olives and some improvised hummus with dried tomatoes. Plus some quickly made meatballs (from leftover Mett from breakfast) and some salmon cubes that have undergone the sarde in saor treatment … Served with some toasted bread, tomato and olive oil plus some salted crisps. No complaints !

Paneer comes to mind; if you have some Indian groceries around that would be my first place to visit.
