  1. Leftover pizza last night from a local brick oven pizzeria with salad.
  2. Still in the tapas mood since returning from Spain. Late breakfast was warmed garlic loaf bread with sardines in olive oil and piquillo peppers
  3. Moved away from brown food to something more colorful. Seared steelhead with a zucchini, pepper and olive medley and a grilled garlic loaf
  4. Not very photogenic but roasted chicken on lentils with carrots, onions and garlic
  5. Yesterday I grill some chicken. Served with roasted sweet potatoes and salad
  6. Back home and without much in the fridge tonight it was a burger and fries
  7. Back home and using up stuff. Amberjack on banana leaf with sliced green olives, toasted coconut, macadamia nuts and red peppers and zucchini
  8. Lunch today was at a restaurant in San Sebastián outside of old town. Started with an assorted plate of sardines, anchovies, octopus and peppers in olive oil and moved on to grilled octopus and prawns with onions and green and red peppers We really liked this place. Very casual
  9. Dinner with friends in Oberageri Switzerland. Smoked chicken thighs not pictured with multiple sides, salad and cheese Preprandial cigar and spirits
  10. Well if the veg included collards or similar greens I'm on top of it 100%, no apology needed
  11. Group dinner. Brats, sauerkraut and a pork loin. Pasta dishes for vegans and non pork eaters
  12. Drinking and eating across the pond in Austria Tonight it was multiple cheeses and crusty bread followed by grilled chicken thighs, legs, grilled vegetables and dal in the comfort of the home of a gracious friend, in the company of many friends. Simple food done well. The whiskey and wine selections were fantastic. The food wonderful and satisfying. This is what my life is currently about. Will be back to reality too soon enough
  13. Thanks, I know they make aftermarket Shapton stones for the EdgePro but they didn't have them when I bought my glass stones

  16. Cleaning out the fridge before heading across the pond. Tonights dinner was grocery store "fresh" pappardelle with 2 containers of grape tomatoes, mushrooms , garlic and basil

  19. Nice find. If sealed well you have little chance of developing off flavors even if much older
  20. Pan seared amberjack with a side of blanched broccoli
  21. Amberjack pulled from the freezer. Now what to do with it?
  22. Picadillo with what I had on hand Yellow, red, orange and jalapeño peppers, diced tomatoes, garlic, onions and raisins with ground meat and cumin. Served over white rice
  23. Working on a picadillo dish. More to come

  25. Ready for lunch but it will be light and simple. Maybe PB with no J. We have a bunch in preparation of Irma. Spent much time in my yard and helped my neighbor cut and haul to the street 2 20-30 foot queen palms that fell in his yard missing his house by a couple feet. He told me the wind was blowing south when they fell. The direction towards my house. Yikes!!! Good thing gravity was in my favor
