-
I did not get a can , and did not study the can for details.
-
TJ's has marzanino tomatoes its very difficult finding out much about this strain , as searches roll over to san marino's any ideas ?
-
@gfweb looks tasty might be an improvement over SPAM for my purposes , which are a bit narrow.
-

I decided to look into my * currently ) last can of SPAM 25 % less salt version I used to get Tj's chicken sausage ( andouille ) and slice that up brown until crispy , and use in soups , and salads . Tj's no longer carry that version , and the other blends didn't make an effective appeal for BeanwBacon soup etc. the idea was : SPAM is spam for sure and ground up factory chicken is ' processed ' maybe the salt load ( a major ' processed ' sin ) . the Tj's chicken sausage had about 2,000 mg /pack and SPAM reduced 3.500 mg / can Agra-Con made both packages exactly the same weight : 12 0z and I thank them , as i was beginning to loose interest in the project. too bad . I was getting the hang of a single 12 " Fondless pan for one can . chill , and use later .

I finally remembered to look for delice de bourgogny @ TJ's its s fine cheese : very creamy w a bit of a bite. its similar in texture to St Andre which might be a bit more buttery very nice I think I got the idea from @blue_dolphin

@Duvel is it a ' feature ' to almost overfill the sake glasses, yet not spill any ? do y0u then slurp up the little dish after drinking the sake ? how big were those glasses ? did you crawl back to your hotel ?

Ill just add this : the Beer Nuts Ive had in the past possible w beer , or not had the skins still on the Nuts. as i recall thus ,based on the ' beer ' or its equivalent required those skins were dealt with later . left between the teeth . teeth
-
@Anna N I remember those nuts ! salt and sugar right there ! and deliciously crunchy , but not oily w the ancient advent of ' dry roasting ' nuts you might find a similar item ' dry roasted peanuts w a delicious sweet coating ' https://www.planters.com/product/planters-honey-roasted-dry-roasted-peanuts-16-oz-jar/ or others . ' Planters ' may have been SF based a lot time ago going on the ' 101 ' to SF in the mid to later '50's if not beyond when the car turned to the R , negotiating a hill then San Francisco was displayed right i9n front of you there was a large Planters sign , large that welcomed you to The City. liked that Mr Nut , had a waling stick . that's culture , right there .

over on the TJ's thread https://forums.egullet.org/topic/155097-trader-joes-products-2017–/page/43/#comment-2389904 Ive been taking advantage of the CSO as a sealed oven , conventional bake to bake various frozen items longer than directed and at s slightly higher temp as the items can get very crispy with out drying out.
-
Ive been using my CSO ( original unit w plenty of patina ) as a small oven that's sealed . on conventional bake . the seal keeps the moisture in the oven from various frozen items , and allows longer cooking times , if not an increase in temp so that the items get to be quite crisp , yet still moist . indeed the CSO tray holds about one package of the various fz items ive tried including the various battered fish offering , etc this is the famous Orange Chicken : right out of the freezer bakes and given a shake plated. the package has two plastic packets of orange sauce , included but its not very good. TJ's has a jared General Tsu sauce , which is better and can be improved. the amount of crispness is up to you . a nice feature of the CSO

@AlaMoi you betcha: scrapple its hard to find. and would be cooked in a certain way where each surface is dark brown , , and crunchy w a creamy porky - corn mush inside. next up for sure .

I had two cans of SPAM 25 % less salt . recent ( compared to the Basement Archives ) purchase @ MarketBasket for unknown reasons well, why not use one can . I liked the idea of SPAM Dogs. thank you @Margaret Pilgrim and for me supermarket hot dogs all have similar nutritional concerns took one can ( forgot how pink this stuff is ) and in the 12 " fond-less , after a dusting off : I cut the tranche into what I though was thin-ish w some ' fill ' they all fit into the Pan ! side one flipped re=flipped , for good measure took them to , let them cool , and refrigerated them ' for later ' I diced one up , cold , and added it to my BeanwBacon soup + amendments it was fine . Tj's had a chicken andouille sausage that I used to use , crisped up in a smaller fond-less . of course , they D/C's it. I do not think one would seek out SPAM but it might wiser something to you , as it did @MarketBasket to me after all , the stuff is near the end cap , with other canned mystery items when I make my first left turn @ MB.
