  1. @Anna N I know nothing of this company , or how it has managed to deal with this problem. 2 million units is quite a few and w current digital tech it seems possible the company is trying to eliminate ' fraud ' Id think , a certain percentage of the 2 million will never get a reply for the replacement some time ago there was the cuisinart blade recall . very different sort of thing I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was for me to get a replacement , and a replacement for a spare blade I purchased as one sharper than my day to day blade. Im hoping your new unit arrives w/o difficulties
  2. @Pete Fred interesting is the tonka dried , say like nutmeg , and you grate it into a dish ? how much do you use to notice its flavor ?
  3. @Anna N why not consider re-mounting your smoke detector ? @ eye height on a side wall . if there were a button to push on the device to disable it , that would be mush easier to do than on a ceiling . then you push the button to put it back in service after the ' smoke ' clears ? its true smoke rises , but the alarm would sill work about a foot or two lower , on a wall ?

I saw a news release about this but can't find the ref. now. it seems you take a picture of your possible defective unit , and then you are sent a new one. and get to get rid of the old one , because you done send it back. a couple of connections occasionally over heated and started a fire. found this : https://www.nytimes.com/2023/02/24/business/cosori-air-fryer-recall.html 2 million being recalled !

    B&M baked beans ( bacon & onion ) , SPAM the SPAM was fried until crisp , each side . the beans : right out of the can. the three major food groups : right there : Sugar , Salt , Saturated Animal Fat. I have not had SPAM in quite a while. Id forgotten how ' soft ' the meat is . nice when crispy . a grilled pineapple slice would have been nice.

    @Duvel and @mgaretz above is ' meat ' the Beef or the pork ? i ask as 1.5 hour for beef this king of beef doesn't seem short to me so : what were you thinking about the timings ?

  13. ive been working w TJ's Fz battered fish. in my area there are Fish Sticks ( a historical, favorite when done crispy ) and a Halibut , a blocky item. there might now be a cod , but Ive not tried that . Tj's also has , a fully cooked Pork Belly , that's vac/sealed and refrigerated. I used the PB , and its has serious potential I had a box , refrigerated , and it got close to the EatNow or Else date so I froze it the Fish Sticks are remarkably good cooked very crisp the CSO helped , as it a sealed oven,, and small . thus a 3/4 amount of the FS , on the CSO pan ( doubled ) w brown parchment paper ( its significantly more slippery than the white , for me ) are CSO's , regular oven ( not steam ) for more than they suggest : 15 min each side ? they get very crispy , and not dried out ( re small oven , steam from fish stays in oven ) so this happened yesterday : those are 1/4 or so ' cuts ' of the Fz PB , from frozen . be careful here , its very slippery even Fz. I sued my Chinese Ss cleaver , w a mallet keeping my finders always above the blade . I added the slices you see of PB and the rest of the FS I had 15 - 16 425 f flipped, the pork fat melted and mingles w the FS the PB was a crisp , but very tender . some fat puffed out and some fat became tender and perfect . and the FS in the pork fat , were delicious . this PB is not smoky , and not that saltiy a stunning result , completely unexpected this will be a regular for me something easy worked with from two freezer items !
  14. peeling off individual slices of vac'd cured salmon is indeed a bit of a challenge . my current source is TJ's varios versions all the vac'd salmon @ Tj's is packaged w the first full slice on the bottom of the package not the top so , slice open the pack from the bottom. I use a very sharp utility knife to run along the bottom right at the ' cardboard ' bottom , along the cardboard ( call it what you will then up the sides peeling back the heavy plastic from the fish. I either use my fingers or a knife edge to free a bit of the slice up starting at the bottom , towards the side. once started , I generally have no trouble freeing single slices . but it takes patience . if Im really hungry , the results at times are not as ' clean ' as when Im paying more attention to the slice. I peel at refrigerator temps. @ Tj's , their Nova is quite different from their cold smoked salmon coverings . to me , cold smoked salmon ' drapes ' in a very different way than Nova. similar thickness . bot are delicious , but in different ways. quality smoked salmon can't be beat for its nuances nova have less nuance , and more salt to my tongue at least .

    @Kim Shook so many delicious dishes ! I do gravitate to a casserole dish that looks cheesy , w a proper crusty top ! that just means , Id get to those dishes First and when others notice , I would be able to take my time and devour all the rest 1 so how did that leberkase do ? Ive never ha it yet.

    @Anna N indeed I have ePub versions now w other Berry , Crumble , Pandowdy books. I have not yet on my iPad found the ' Click ' button that Bakes , Cools anf Politely alerts me when ready to Inhale.

    @gfweb excellent. what book is that ? it looks very familiar I checked Amazon indeed : I bought it , 2000's they didn't include imbedded 20 Y trackers , then they can't tell me where mine is !
