  1. I like oohs and ahhs, why wouldnt anyone not want to be ooohed and ahhed, i certainly would.... Sometimes.,like at Ambria in Chicago I love the traditonal silver service and silver chargers and the cloches sp?...i just the love the custom of it and the formality...you know you are in a place that takes its food, or at the least, the service seriously...
  2. Suvir, im sorry for making a mistake. i didnt catch the towel in the turning process. Both pics have 2 different containers, one appears to have walnuts or pecans in it and the other doesn't. i dont think I was being completely wacko in thinking they were possibly two different batches. But again, maybe I was. in which case, what the hell was I thinking,,,I guess im not that samrt...

  10. I really wanted to be at your signing a few weeks ago at Trotters to Go but was out of town unexpectantly. How did you like Charlie's store and Im assuming you ate at the restaurant. How was it for you? Also, where else did you visit/dine in Chicago? I picked up your book over the weekend @ Trotters to Go and love it! Thanks.

  14. 201 - get the book - I think you will really enjoy it...its a great great book and was the first book I used when I first started cooking- I still use it and need to buy a new one since my original is completely worn out-ask Aurora...I showed it to her tonight...its in quite an interesting condition...ANYWAY PLEASE GO GET THE BOOK TOMORROW otherwise I WILL HAVE TO SEND YOU A COPY!
