    Free Lunch!

no can do on the 9th unfortunately. but i'm looking forward to hearing how the place is holding up without david.
  4. make sure it's dry aged. i'd even lean towards more than less aging if possible.

    Free Lunch!

seems like a pretty smart promotion.
  6. and i was thinking that it was the most straight-forward no-nosense review to date.
  7. like texas tea.
  8. by table wine do you mean house wine? i can't imagine their house wines being even decent (chardonnay, wine zin, etc, according to the website). but i've never had them.

    Tamarind

suvir's stuff and suvir's other stuff (no tamarind on this one..but they go nicely together) especially when you make this.
  10. how about: the bar at American Grill.
  11. and there are no surprises at MG, which is a good thing at times. looks like you can even get a decent enough glass of wine at the location near me. that's more than i can say for a lot of these mom and pops in northern jersey. (except for Lou Reda's place which is a standout and a much better choice than RMG)
  12. i'm guessing not much. in fact, it's more reliable than a good amount of those local mom and pops here in northern NJ. that doesn't make it really really good, mind you, but any port in a storm.
  13. ah well i went to Johnny Rocket's as well.
  14. she's on a european vacation with bayless and rosengarten.
  15. my god i hope so. (that you saw it, that is)
  16. on occasion my math has been wrong and i've "stiffed" a server. it didn't seem to make the news, though.
  17. no no. that's the other tommy.
  18. i've been called worse and i still post.
  19. i'll not be available for playtime until 3-ish, or maybe slightly later. so brunch for me would probably not work. i'll be at the Air & Water show before then. that's all i know, as it's all i've been told. :biggrn: i hope to see you all then.

i don't wonder at all. although since it's not really an "official" website, i won't give it too much credit. however, it's probably their only web presence, and good business practices would suggest that the menu read as well is it can. that would, of course, suggest including "prime" if the meat is prime, or at the very least "choice", which while not very exciting, seems to be on plenty of menus. i mean, does anyone serve anything less than choice?

    west caldwell italian chophouse.
  22. i often use yp.yahoo.com. you can focus on one town and the results are very good in my experience. especially when you're looking for established businesses.
  23. if the staff isn't breaking into dance moves to doo-wop songs, i'm not going.
  24. doesn't the public, overall, have a sense of entitlement already? if anyone reads that article, who didn't previously know, they *should* learn that there's a right time and a wrong time to refuse a bottle. to that end, i see no harm in the article and the wacky idea that every restaurant should have a wine expert on hand to test every bottle. clearly that can't work, and won't.
  25. i feel somewhat guilty love those crabstick things you get at sushi places.
