    Bukhara Grill

at the risk of sounding cheap, do we know for sure that the 49th street branch has a lunch buffet? and is it any good?
  3. i'm very rarely depressed. i think most of the "comforting" i need stems from over-indulgence the previous day, which is more of a physical need than a psychological need. i think my list is fairly typical, and therefore probably not very interesting: - a good cheeseburger. - buffalo wings are fun. hadn't thought of them. they are festive by nature i think, and usually imply beer. - mashed potatoes make me smile.
  4. you, my friend, obviously don't know how to live.
  5. how does one completely avoid the "chip aisle" for "a long time"?
  6. as i've said before, two words: fritos on a hotdog. i'll say no more until everyone tries a "fritodog." when will you people get it???????
  7. it looks the same to me! i guess i don't notice landscaping too much. and they didn't make it easy, putting it on a cul-de-sac and all. you feel like a real twit pulling up and turning around. i heard they actually had a cop at the end of the street for a while stopping people. i don't blame them.

    Leftovers

i definitely enjoy the fried mac and cheese better than the original. your husband and i have quite a bit in common. he must be one helluva fellow, not to mention good looking, witty, and charming.

  10. rail paul, tell me you haven't driven past that house!! :wow:
  11. jhlurie, you should have continued the story... rachel then turned to the table behind us to ask if either of the two girls had a calendar. it's really not important to know if they did or not, but it is perhaps important to note that the one girl was wearing shrimp tails on her fingertips. we go to *all* the classy places.

    Hot food cold

there's something else about it alright: when we eat these "hot things cold", we tend to be either drunk or stoned. and everyone knows everything tastes better when you're drunk or stoned. cold fried chicken beats out cold pizza any day, regardless of your state of mind.
  13. words i'd like to see a lot less of in restaurant reviews: "By Steven Shaw." there, got my morning venom out of the way.
  14. No, Tommy, a verb posing as a noun. I dunno, I describe you as a genius, then you show up and embarrass me! that's what i said.
  15. indeed. a noun posing as a verb. never trust a noun posing as a verb. that's what i say at least.
  16. even if they are quotes?
  17. that just pains my soul.
  18. i wouldn't be concerned about it. look at steven shaw. he uses the word "review" all the time, and he's hardly professional.
  19. what are your thoughts on gerunds?
  20. i have a circulon sauce pan that has a rounded bottom (and ridges of course). i use it to make rice. for some reason, it works really well for rice. i also have a 12" all-clad pan that i rarely use. i am also very tired today.
  21. that's sublime. and that's also a much more interesting way of stating as much, which is part of my point.
  22. "sublime" come on.
  23. ice cream.
  24. i would imagine that at a restaurant whose focus is so concentrated on customer satisfaction (such as GT) you'd be welcome to act like a twit for any reason you so choose.
