  1. Am I the only one who doesn't get the Marcel hate?

He seems decent. He does help the others, and if Frank would pick up after himself instead of leaving his toiletries out like a slob Marcel wouldn't have had to move them.

Marcel seems calm and Betty throws the tantrums.

One week Betty goes off on him for no valid reason, then she hugs him, now she's screaming at him again. I'm really not digging Betty.

None of the food looked cutting edge to me.

  2. From the Camp Glucose website:

Camp Glucose California is a residential camp for boys and girls ages 8 to 18, as well as a day camp for children ages 4 to 18. Programs are tailored to meet specific age levels to ensure the best experience for the individual child.

The balance part of our program is for children living with type 1 and type 2 diabetes and need help with balance and management of this disease.

The fitness part of our program is for children who are overweight, we work together with your child to develop a program that they can live with and incorporate into everyday life.

We are the only camp that is completely run by medical staff, the dedication that our staff shows towards our campers is apparent with the skills the children apply to their lives once they go home.

Each child has a full assessment with our licensed and registered dietitian, a full plan will be tailor made for each child to use during camp and when they return home. Our medical staff will develop a plan for physical activity based on the needs of your child, group and individual counseling is available if needed and a behavior modification plan for each child to use in everyday life will be made.

We do not starve children to get dramatic results, nor do we throw them head first into a strenuous workout routine. Each child will receive a well balanced diet and work their way gradually to incorporate physical activity into their lives.

  3. I found it funny that they were ecstatic that Gary was going to survive his absessed foot and join them for Christmas dinner.

    Gary is a turkey BTW.

I had to laugh at Giles and "Gordons" sperm count competition/diet too.

And that Scottish bird? The way the taste was described-I believe Giles said it was like sucking the puss out of a boil-made me wonder how it became a delicacy

  4. I'm glad they're doing challenges that show they can work in the industry as opposed to things like kids and junk food.

Sushi!! I've read sushi chefs in Japan train for three years before they're even allowed to touch a fish. I have no idea what they do for those three years. But that challenge would have freaked me out.

Otto leaving the store with the unpaid lychees was a bad choice. On camera even! I have no doubt in my mind that if he hadn't been called out he would have kept them. I wonder if the producers would have stepped in?

I'm glad Marisa spoke up but I think she should have done it at the curb instead of back at the kitchen.

  5. Note to the girl who said she's going to rely on her sexuality. That won't help if your food tastes bad! Just learn to cook.

I also think Ilan will actually be the real villian of the show.

Mias frog legs looked awesome! I haven't had frog legs in a few years.

Padma is beautiful but her delivery is a little flat. But I guess we don't need Rachel Ray perkiness. Jeez can you imagine if she hosted the show? ***shudders***

  6. Starts October 18th.

You can see the bio's of the contestants HERE

It looks like they chose a lot of the same types of personalities. good looking guy, vegan chef....etc

I really liked the show last year. It's much better than Hells Kitchen. I also think Padma will be a much better host than Katie Joel.

Edited because I had the wrong start date.
