  5. This is the only thread with Krispy Kreme in it that was unpinned.. http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?section=bizarre&id=5166463 Evidently the writer doesnt know about Japans junk food rep!
  6. http://mdn.mainichi-msn.co.jp/photospecial...40701ice/1.html Interesting Japanese Ice Cream Flavors
  7. Probably like taffy
  8. Hiroyuki? I had to go back and look at what you are asking about. Branston Pickle is crisp veggies in a Worcestershire scented "ketchup". Its sweet, crunchy and delightful on a burger or cheese sandwich!
  9. I adore the Cook-Do sauces and the Cod Roe Spaghetti. The Spaghetti Naporitan was good too, but I was expecting more ketchup flavor
  10. Konnyaku Jelly
  11. Shinju? I agree with the Kewpie and Hellmans. I think the reason Kewpie tastes funny to me is because it is the very thin soft plastic bottle it comes in. I think the bottle makes it go off in flavor.
  12. Sorry to confuse you, the men basically give nothing on Valentines Day, instead teh Japanese have created a day called White Day on March 14 and this is the same as Valentines Day except now the men give chocolates to all the women they know. Though it is a popular day for couples to go out, their isn't much given except for the chocolate, no flowers, presents, wine, etc... ← Interesting choice of date for White Day! March 14th! If you google that date and the word 'steak' you will find the mens version of Valentines Day in the states! NSFW!!!
  13. I cant read Japanese... Its this Ponzu, not the soy/ponzu http://www.japancentre.com/?cmd=itm&cid=&id=995
  14. Does plain bottled Ponzu (the green stuff) need to be refrigerated?
  15. They are very sweet and are often used raw in dishes, the really good ones you can even eat like an apple.... ← Exactly. They also dont give you heartburn or make you cry when you cut them. The Vidalia Catalog used to sell a Chocolate Cake that had 1/3 cup of pureed Vidalia Onions in it to replace some of the fat and keep it moist. However it was frosted with a lard based frosting.. And yes it was really good.
  16. I just got the Egg Molds today Kristin! They were mailed out November 11th!!!!! So cute. I guess the $6.00 to mail them with SAL was worth it even if they were 2-1/2 months late!
  17. Do you get Vidalias, WallaWalla, Oso Sweets or Maui Sweets (onions) in Japan?
  18. Cool Beans Hiroyuki...
  19. I was bored and when Im bored, I make link lists. Its fun and you find interesting links and stuff along the journey. I was trying to compile a list of all the homepages of all the Combinis in Japan... 23. Kris? Comparing that Mega Mac with the calories in a Wendys triple with cheese (1247 cals) I can literally feel my arteries hardening... McGriddles have been here for about 4 yrs now. And the bread portion is baked not fried. This is (I HOPE) a humorous parody of all these types of food combos, enjoy: http://www.thegiantnapkin.com/dominoslaunch.htm
  24. I know these arent Japanese, but they still are Ramen and they were delicious... ps-thisthis is what they looked like prepared, for my son with an egg for protein
  25. You can always buy it from a Japanese Food Supply in Illinois http://yamashoinc.com/dryfood/pickled_vegetable/ninniku.htm Oh and BTW I think THIS is an actual recipe: http://www.mediatinker.com/blog/archives/008429.html
