Amazing looking dish panaderia!

I'm loving how decadent your week is - great to see a hardworking wife and mom Enjoying herself whilst left unshackled! When my dad used to go away on business I had to literally drag my mum out for a cocktail or cook something she would never normally do as dad/brother/sister wouldn't enjoy it. Great week!

Clearly from my comments I am not a journalist or a writer... They made sense in my head at least :-)

I tend to think of people who write about food as food writers or critics not as a journalist. What's the definition? What criteria do I have - I don't know - sure, some "journalists" also write about food but as a sideline to other work. I think bloggers could be considered writers but a journalist suggest a qualification or degree to me at least.

Exactly what I was going to write kennethT - Scotty's food makes me want to move to SF even more just so I could sample his food :-)

That was my initial thought - granted one of the only places I went to in NC but still... There were some god places to eat there

I drove everyone insane with my obsession with hush puppies when I went to NC for a friends wedding, will be fun to see someone from The southern states, I still cant get my head around "biscuits & gravy" though!

Soba both those dishes are calling out to me right now, especially the salad - spring is here!!

Looks like a very nice menu - hope the shout out to suppliers has a positive impact on their sales- not jute about unnecessary descriptions like "spring dug parsnips" I mean 1. When we're they expecting them to have been dug at this time of year and 2. Who cares when they were dug?!! Tasty looking dinner though.

Ambra - Laban is a middle eastern yoghurt, you should try a bottle it's very tasty as a drink.

Thinking of paying for friends to visit as a wedding present - is it the same price/menu at lunch? £180 still for food I guess? What sort of price is a bottle of wine (wine matching not quite in my budget - would like to allow a set amount and they can top up If they wish.) Thanks for any advice :-)
