About Me
Anne was born in southwest Georgia, one grandfather a migrant sharecropper and the other the owner of one of the largest farms in the county. One of 10 children, she learned to cook as soon as she was able to pull a stool up to the stove. She attended the University of Georgia back in the days when members of R.E.M. were dropping out to make music, Coleman Barks was teaching creative writing and Vince Dooley kept the Dawgs hunkered down. She has resided in Florida for 16 years. After a scleroderma diagnosis in the late 1990’s, Anne chose to make a lifestyle change and now works from home as a proposal writer in response for U.S. Government Solicitations for goods and services. She resides in South Broward County, Florida, with her husband and pit bull, gardening and cooking in her spare time. In addition to her professional activities and eGullet hosting duties, Anne does volunteer work for the American Red Cross (specifically focusing on disaster relief), and Food for Families in South Florida.
