  1. Go for either one of them.......I cook with them all the time Not for just the heat (i always use my mortal and pestal(sp?)by the way) ...add some to fired eggs or something and it gives a wonderful aroma to the food AShiana

    I am new to this board so i don't how to upload pics yet. I have been amazed by all of your pics. America eats good baby... Last night we had rice with chinese long beans and chinese syle chicken that my husband made. AShiana

  4. I have tried Tyler's recipe and love it. It is however a creamy cheesecake In my beginner days as a baker i used to make a no bake cheesecake with pineapple in it. Haven't made it in a while but it was good.

I have been growing my herbs for a couple of years The ones that did survived so far are mint, rosemary, thyme and chive I never had succes with cilantro and defenitely don't want to deal with parsley and " the accesories" it comes with ... I also have lemongrass and i don't know what happened to my lavender:( Hope i could be of some help
  6. Hey everyone, I finally decided it was time for me to post. I have been following this thread since it got started. This is such an amazing site!! Chufi you brought back so many memories , i am from suriname so we grew up with some of the food you have cooked so far. I absolutely love spekulaas but never attempted to make it home My mom and brother who live in holland bring some of the goodies i can't find here Gevulde koeken zo lekker, oh and what i would do for a piece of komijnse kaas. All that said ....in the future i would defenitely like to start a thread with some food from my country Keep the recipes coming chufi.................
