Last evening I met up with @Beth Wilson and we headed off for tea and desserts at Oh So Good Desserts and Coffee House - forgot pictures - but it was all Dufflet from Toronto fare. I had a moussey lemon cake and Beth a PB Chocolate Brownie tart. Beth had found a little wire butter cutter for me and also a silicone edged Kitchen Aid flat beater that was the wrong size for her machine. I'll test it out on the couple of machines I have and failing that find a good home for it.

Rotuts send me some Gold Metal imitation vanilla several years back. I finally got around to trying it - and looking at the reviews. That stuff is better than all but one of the natural vanillas that I have had in the past (that one was from Haiti and I no longer have access to it). I bought a case of it a couple of years back - then recently a case of 4 gallon jugs.

Hubbies breakfast didn't sit well with him so we opted for a lighter dinner from The Scone Witch. Tuna/tomato sconewitch. Creamed chicken mealwitch.

But I don't know what you want! I could text pics I suppose

Excellent - it's interesting how many of these on both lists overlap with what Matt suggested. We had a look at Beckta's menu last night as we walked by - it suffered from too many adjectives for hubby! Was intrigued by the Sconewitch sign when I saw it on Monday night - will have to wander in there an take a look. Now off to research for dinner tonight!

Yup - right next to a bookstore.

Indeed - and as bored hubby was giving me the 'how long are we going to be in here look' - I turned to him and said 'Anna and I would be in here for at least an hour looking at every single little thing'!

Yes - sorry - Whalesbone on Elgin.

A little further up the street is this store that hubby insisted we go to again today. We also stopped in to a Japanese dollar store.

Strip loin with Chimichurri fingerling potatoes with chive Bone marrow Cauliflower - roasted, fried - with cauliflower cream, almonds, drunk raisins and padano cheese. Great potential - not terribly well executed sadly.

Thanks for that - tonight we are headed to Whalesbone (the one on Elgin). Riviera is on our radar - wondering if it might work for lunch tomorrow. Beckta is just up the street.

And slightly warm frozen hashbrowns are not rosti either.

Sadly - this one was not quiet either!

Can't find the name - their website is down and I didn't make note of it before she took away the menu.

I'd buy zombie! He looks kind of evil in a good way.
-
He looks like an alien with those green eyes to go with his pox!

I think it can be what you want it to be! It certainly is egg shaped - but it's belly shaped too. So I haven't helped you one single bit - sorry.
