Welcome Tiffany Generally painting in advance works fine. Don’t store them anywhere too hot or humid. Alternately you could make the order now and freeze until they are needed.

That’s such a shame when it’s in your own town and you could just carry them home. Keep in touch with the auctioneers though - if there is a payment problem you might still be able to snatch something up.

Damn shame! How much did the little savages go for?

PIcadillo - it's what's for dinner! With the addition of some lovely smashed potatoes cooked in peanut oil.

Cocktail tonight - another variation on the Esquire Formula - there have got be endless combinations and permutations even with just the booze we have here.

On the way home I stopped in the Flee Market - nothing much of interest with the exception of a 'what the hell is it?' item. I had a vague idea that it was something that was sold with vintage Filter Queen vacuum cleaners and indeed after a bit of time I found it online. Filter Queen de-MOTHer. Dropped in to Barney's to see what might be new - todays give aways were cabbages a bit beyond their prime and a whole lot of potatoes - of which we have plenty. Picked up a few odds and ends - most exciting the pure peanut oil $8 for 2 liters.

Lunch today at the Other Half Cafe (the other half of the other half being a pawn shop) - the medical student chose the chili option - I had the corn soup option (that would be posole). Lunch includes the soup, fry bread, a drink and dessert.

We drove back from the east coast one summer when we were between boats - we were hauling a Hi-Lo trailer.. Everyone waited to see the midgets/dwarfs (what's the politically correct term these days) get out of the car and were surprised to see a family of normal (what's the politically correct term for that these days) height individuals exit the vehicle. But then they were treated to the picture of my father removing several extremely large boulders from the trailer before we could roll it up. They were beautiful boulders I grant you - that's why they had to come home.

Still scratching now that I'm back home! It was the stroll through the grassy parts that was the problem. Had I followed my usual path the breeze would have been enough to keep them down.

Took a walk around Low Island Park this evening - started at my usual spot, sat and watched the kids swim for a while - then headed around the point. Just me and a few million skitters. In spite of the low light - my camera took some fairly good flower pictures. ' As I got further around the point - I could see up the North Channel A little further around I was at the entrance to Spider Bay I have a bit of a thing for driftwood - not as bad as my mother did however. I don't feel the need to bring it home! Spider Bay from the other side.

I would. Any thought on why it blew up?

Red Current Meringue Cake - recipe from a friend of Myra‘s who provided us with the red currants It uses 180 g of nut flour. How convenient I just happen to have quite a few kilos of nut flour.
