  1. OK, I give up. What is kourambiedes?
  2. You make it look so simple, as well as delicious. I cannot wait to try this dish. Thank you so much for the step by step directions with pics.
  3. The one in Bloomfield WAS called Garfield Stuffed Breads. I called them last week and their number has been disconnected. That was my first choice.
  4. Thank you! I just LOVE pumpkin ravioli. I, too, have served it for Thanksgiving as an appetizer. I don't know much about Lodi, but I have a friend in Bergen County who may know.... Thanks again!
  5. Does anyone know where I can purchase good stuffed breads in the Bloomfield/Montclair/Livingston/ East Hanover area? I would like to cut the breads into slices and serve for Christmas as one of my appetizers. Thanks!
  6. Can't you store it in the fridge and just take it out when you need it? This is what I have been doing. Please tell me this is ok, because I, too, have a large container of olive oil. DonnaMarieNJ
  7. I absolutely LOVE Wendy's salads! Eat them quite a bit for lunch.... DonnaMarieNJ
  8. Rebecca263 what are the porportions for the coffee grounds? My plants are in the ground now and I would appreciate knowing how much and how often. My BF is a Starbucks addict, so hopefully, he can get me some, too. Thanks! Rooftop1000 are you talking about Lemon Boy? I see those plants being sold online. Donna
  9. Do the Better Boy, Big Boy, Early Girl, Rutgers and Supersonic taste better than the Beefseak? I'm looking for a good tasting tomato. I'm not looking for the quantity of tomatoes that grow on the plant, sturdiness or hardiness of the plant (as the supersonic name suggests to me). All I want a delicious tomato. I happen to love the cherry/grape tomatos! Wonderful in a salad with fresh basil!!!!! Thanks EVERYONE for your help!
  10. Honestly, I can sit here for hours (and often do) and read these posts!!! How I envy everyone's ability to put down on paper (or computer, if you please) your thoughts, dreams, memories, etc. so eloquently (sp)! You make me feel I was there with you and I can taste, feel, smell everything you are describing!
  11. I'm wondering if anyone can point me to a good eating tomato to grow in New Jersey. Plant or seed, whichever, and where to purchase. I am in the northern section of NJ and am looking to eat the tomato in sandwiches, not cook with it. Am I too late to plant seeds? Plochs in Clifton has a nice selection, but I do not know what to get. There were so many varieties to choose from and I do not know the difference between an heirloom (of any variety) and any other tomato. I cannot seem to find that one tomato that tastes as good as my mom purchased when I was a child (MANY years ago). Will I ever find that good a tomato again? Back then, I lived on simple tomato sandwiches growing up: white bread (THE ONLY TIME I EAT WHITE BREAD), mayo and salt. To me it just couldn't get better than that. <sigh>
  12. Has anyone tried the pineapple coconut? That, and the choc. chip mint are my favs!!!!
  13. Talk about memories!!!! I just sat and read through this entire thread. I, too, remember Bonvini's and Poor Henry's. But, as a child, my parents used to take me to a place called "bundle of rubble." I think it was on Paterson Plank Road????? Not certain. I remember they had a slaw there that I loved. Don't remember much about the rest of their food and do not remember what town....... But as with many of you, it sticks in my mind and will probably be there forever.... I also remember "ed and tony's" on Ridgedale in, I think, East Hanover??? Very inexpensive, quick place for lunch when at work. Happy Easter everyone!
  14. There is a new restaurant opening a few doors away from Cosimos called "The Pitt" (Portuguese BBQ). Anyone know anything about it?
