Sammy sushi looks good, do you have a menu????? Many people claim Sushi Ota on Mission Bay Drive is the best 4529 Mission Bay Dr San Diego, CA 92109 One of my favorrites is Izakaya Sakura - not quite a sushi bar - but an Izakaya. They will not make any "rolls" - alot of Japanese Nationals as customers and pretty pricey http://mmm-yoso.typepad.com/mmmyoso/2005/0...ya_sakura_.html Shirahama - also in the area, is another quite expensive place. Will not make rolls either - Koji-san is known as the Sushi-Nazi for a reason also. Sushi Dokoro Shirahama 4212 Convoy St. There are alot of Neighborhood Sushi places like Katzra (same owners as Tofu House next door). My favorite little Neighborhood Sushi place is Sammy Sushi on Engineer Road: http://mmm-yoso.typepad.com/mmmyoso/2005/0..._sushi_eve.html Though the quality of fish can vary, Sam usually has something good - prices are also cheaper and Sam will make anything you want - even Poke. You can tell him Kirk-san sent you! Btw next to Sammy's is Boo Cho - they are the only Korean Restaurant I know of in San Diego that does charcoal BBQ: http://mmm-yoso.typepad.com/mmmyoso/2005/0...ho_going_s.html alot of people enjoy Boo Cho. ←

Hi All - I am a visitor to the San Diego area for a few weeks. I am staying just north of downtown, near the intersection of Aero Drive and Kearny Mesa Blvd. I would appreciate any dining recomendations in my area, please note that I am on a budget of about 20 - 30 dollars for dinner. Also, if there are any worthwhile places downtown to try in this price range that would be great, but please focus on my area. All input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

I would definitely try Charrittos, I was recently there a few weeks ago for the first time and it really was a great place, I got the Oaxacan Enchiladas and Tableside Guacamole. In regards to the no liquor license, there is a liquor store across the street, so you can pick up what you want to and they will mix certain drinks for you I believe. Another place worth trying is East LA - more of a bar atmosphere with a Mexican Influence, I have only been there for Margaritas and nachos, but they were quite good....so depending on what you are in the mood for there are a few options...enjoy and let us know where you go!

What did everyone get, can you comment on that please? Thanks!

When I was out in Greensburg, PA I came across a delicious Italian Restaurant in New Stanton, PA. The place is called Paganos - it is a little Italian Place, that has delicious home cooked food - the sicilian sauce is absolutely amazing. Definitely try this place and let me know what you think - you will not be disapointed. Here is the info: Pagano's Restaurant & Catering (724) 925-2064 108 E Byers Ave New Stanton, PA

← Rosie--being from the "Lake" I can make some suggestions. Other than the Hilton Hotel, there is no restaurant in WCL that could handle 50--the only eating establishments are Panera's and Blue Moon, currently closed after a fire. In surrounding towns, however, I could recommend the following: Park Ridge--The Park, Esty Street Saddle River--Saddle River Inn Montvale--Aldo and Gianni's, Canton Gourmet Westwood--The Melting Pot Ramsey--Cafe Panache Over the border in NY--Citrus Grille has a room downstairs that could accomodate 50 ← I agree with the Montval suggestion - Aldo and GIannin is a great place with a real nice group of people who work there. I used to also frequent Citrus Grille quite often and it was delicioous - was a big fan of the crusted chicken, cant remember what is was crusted with though????

Hello All - I am interested in buying some steak (rib eye or eye roll steak) to use in making some "philly style" steak sandwiches. Any recomendations on the best butcher to use - I'd prefer a butcher in Hoobken, NJ, however if there are any that are outstanding in the surounding area I will consider them as well. Of course, I will need the butcher to slice the steak thin enough for me to use. Any recomendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I recommend "A Taste Of Distinction" - they are located just over the border in Rockland County, NY. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is very friendly, knowledgable and helpful. I have had numerous meals from them and have always been extremely happy (that is why I keep on going back!). I have also been to a few parties that have been catered by them and the food and service were amazing. Here is a ink to their website http://atasteofdistinction.com/ The phone number is 845-362-8038 Enjoy!!!

Recently, made it to the Jefferson for a great meal....The place itself it quite nice and there is also a really comfortable and relaxing area out back where we chose to eat (really can't find that in Hoboken, as the outside seating is normally out front only). Before we were seated, the host was kind of pushing us to sit out front as opposed to the back, kind of strange considering that there were plenty of tables available out back...well we got seated out back and the table we were sat at was quite small, almost seemed to be a table that should be in a bar used for drinks, but we managed....we started off with the bread with olive oil and the whipped ricotta, the bread was delicious, and the whipped ricotta was good, not really my type of spread for bread though....next we had the grilled calamari for an appetizer which was very good, it kinda had that good charcoal bbq taste that you get, it could have used a little more seasoning / dressing but still pretty good, next time I want to try the buffalo mozzarela or the artichokes - suggestions anyone??? As for the main course I got the salmon and my girlfriend got the fluke - I thought that the salmon was absolutely delicious, cooked just as I liked it, and the sides went really well with the dish, as for the fluke I only had a taste and thought it was just OK, my girlfriend thought the same, but I thought the risotto was delicious..as for desert the chocolate 3 ways was absolutely amazing...so overall a really good place, next time I'll get a different appetizer though...and probably try a different main course (although it will be tough to not order the samlon as it was delicious!) - I'll be back....hey has anyone had any of the sandwiches the crab po boi looks good!!! Also, one final note, very good, knowledgable waited, however they seemed a little understaffed, quite often our waiter would come to our table answer a question and before we knew it he had to run off somewhere before he could finish with us.....but still a great place and I'll definitely be back real soon!!!

I have been going to Yankee Stadium for years and traditionally grab ball park food as my meal...welll my next game is a Sunday Night game and I would like to grab some food before the game outside of the stadium - any recomendations for a good place for some good pre-game food? Thanks!!!

JohnL - It is worth another try, perhaps order the dog another way, you can get it more well done, also known as a "weller" also I would recommend the chili as well!
