I've been hitting up a few oyster places for the last few weeks and not much around. Devon was decent, Ansill only has the one oyster for happy hour. Couqette I wanted to try but closes early. The RTM place and Snockeys served me room temp oysters, kinda scary. If you know anywhere else let me knowplease.

I did not try it, though maybe next time. I wasn't really out to demolish my mouth, but it's good to know that there's an option. Greg: any more specific recommendations at Oriental Restaurant? I'm always up for some good soup... ← I had a really good lump crab and enoki mushroom soup that was excellent and a fish maw soup that was great.
-
Another good place to check out in that area is "Oriental Restaurant" around the corner on Wash. Weird hours also but good soups and quail.
-
Do they deliver that far away? ← They deliver to my apt. at 19th and callowhill.
-
The 67 goes near there.

Plus I can get the schmidter.

My Sister was wondering where she can a good plate of fish and chips in town. Any recs?
-
I could order it for you if you like and you could pick it up at my place.
-
I'm not done work until 10, so probably not. But I feel less of a degenerate drinking soju that late.
-
Where on North 5th? Address, please? I'll supply my own SEPTA directions. ← Hey Sandy, It's two blocks from the place that Sam took us awhile back. Up for next weekend?

The chef is David something, He was last at Loie, I think his wife is doing baking there.
-
Try the Jia Jiang Mein at Kim's. They also scold you if do not eat that immediately.
-
I have brought them from the NY places and had them cold next day. Still bangin' Has anyone tried the place across the street? The place is named "Sports Bar" and I hear the bird is better there.
-
You should also check out the Indonesian grocery at between 16th and 17th on Morris. The food is brought in from some Indonesian housewives and some things from the former Indonesia restaurant in c-town. Ten bucks gets you lunch and dinner, That's no joke son.

The place that was at rising sun that had a buffet is supposedly reopening and they had charcoal there. + Hey Herb, are you up for another Sid show on mon. We are gonna hit up some Korean places again.
-
Mark McKinney is the chef here and at the Royal, and has been for a while. The tequila club is a really great deal and you should come to the next one.

Senor Pollo is not as good as the other places but a lot of posters here seem to be able to get out to 69th easier than Olney. I finally was able to make it to Soho. It used to be a bon chon but it seems they do not have the franchise anymore. Just as good and expensive as before.
-
There apparently a place in the food court at the 69th st. Han au Reum called Mr. Chicken that is good too.
-
The savoy, I loved that place no matter how busy that place was, whatever you ordered was ready in two minutes.

Going tonight, Just passed by the joint and the skinny guy that does temps was manning the grill.

Went to Pinchana tonight. While the salad bar here is not as good as fogo"s the meat is better and Pinchana has lowered the price to 17 a person so you have to consider that (after over 200 at Tinto earlier that is a deal). This place is close to where I live so I try to go twice a month, sometimes the gaucho does every thing welldone but the dude tonight was spot on temp-wise. They had the sirloin, top sirloin, flank, lamb loin, leg of lamb, shortribs, a bunch of sausages and chicken hearts .All really good tonight. Oh yeah, have you guys ever senn that snl skit where the greek restaurant guys are going "more juice, you lika da juice" the gaucho kept coming to our table saying "more beef, more chicken heart you lika the chicken heart" We were one of only three tables on a monday night so this is a good time to go. Oh yeah try the cashew fruit drink next time you go, that is good drinkin. Just kidding about that Tinto, I know how some of y'all get about that.

Count me in saturday.

Hold that thought. I know he was at Haru, and but I believe he recently left. Also, Greg ran the hot kitchen @ Raw, not anything to do with sushi. Is Hikaru trying to raise the bar on the non-sushi menu? ← I don't work anywhere now, working on my house and taking a break from kitchen life. The sushi at RAW is all Sam's. He is the man .

I saw them at the Wiliams Sonoma in suburban square yeaterday.
