  1. Is it the same peope as www.tiffin.com ? the food from them is good eats.
  2. Anyone ever have the Georgie Woods chili cheese flavored chips? Those were the sure shot.
  3. I went last week with a friend and some of the food was good but nothing exciting. We had from the raw bar the shellfish plateau, for 50 bucks you got a half dozen oysters ,a half dozen steamed mussels, 2 sets of snow crab legs ,four big ass shrimp, a couple of crab claws and half a chick lobster. The oysters were bland and the smoked mussels at sansom street are better. We had a BLT salad ,it was steakhouse style (iceburg and slicing tomatos). Clams casino were really good classic style ,nice big clams. We got the Fried seafood platter ,don't remember what they called it but it had alot of food on it .ten ounces of cod ,three oysters , scallops, crab cakes and the largest plate of fries ever. the plate was about a 18 inch oval with a mountain of fries. scary!!! The place was empty except for a table in the back and it is a good looking space, but too early to review it.
  4. Shouldnt everything at a sushi bar be beyond fresh ? Should you have to ask what is fresh ? ← My bizzle, I meant interesting. I was a little distracted when I typed that.
  5. I did in fact leave RAW but I am not employed at Django, Ross is a good friend of mine and let me hang around the kitchen because all the asian fusion had corrupted me. In RAW's defense I think Sam's stuff is excellent, you have to let him know how authentic you want it, because most customers in philly want their food a certain way. The same goes for French , Italian or Japanese. I recommend you sit at the sushi bar and introduce yourself to Sam ,let him know that you are a gulleteer and simply ask what is fresh. They let him order what he wants so he usually has something interesting. Any Chef like Sam who has a lot of pride in his work would be accommodating.
  6. Raw serves sushi until midnight on weekends and eleven other nights.
  7. Imperial is better than it has been for years. the tripe and steamed spareribs are my favorite in chinatown. phoneix is good too. if you go to ocean city next to sang kee it is better than harbor and try the salt fish and chicken fried rice.
  8. Korean barbecue? Karaoke? Can I tag along? --Sandy, Philadelphia Gay Men's Chorus second tenor, was with Katie and Holly for that trip to Porky & Porkie ← Sure you can come, nothing goes better with korean bbq than singing. Sam I'm was kidding about being late, 2:30 homie.
  9. Hey Sam ,I am gonna be a little late tomorrow. Katie ,you have to hit the korean bbq spots with us. Sam is like South Korean Idol with the karaoke

  22. the guy who had a hand in promoting the copper river salmon is also one of the guys who also helped bring back the west coast oysters so he knows a thing about marketing. And that barramundi is being farmed in the south now.
  23. I've been here a few times after work and have had a great time. The owners are great but they do pour a little smaller than some places, the food is good (finally a place that is not mexican or japanese!)and I think the price3s are reasonable.
  24. If Capogiro's WIFI signal had been strong enough to get across the street, I could have fixed it mid-meal! A little googling over dessert turned-up a fix, but not in time for dinner.... ← IThat capogoro siglnal is weak ,I can't get a signal at table 11 at my place.
