    the thing is that the 8" and the 11" Drop Forged Chef's Knives are so similar in price :) Heh! question: should i go for the regular lightweight Global Chef or the DropForged more hefty Global Chef?

  6. i live alone, buying huge economy sizes is more expensive cuz everything goes bad. my form of economizing is buying from a wet-market instead of shopping at speciality groccers.

  8. that's what i thought too but the Global seems so popular just thought i'd ask. I like the Wusthof's curve a lot better but I wonder if it's just the needing to be get used to.

    just curious, what sorta cuts does a 12" really come into play? I've managed fine almost ALL the time with a 6" Santoku, occasionally wishing for an 8" blade, but can't find an excuse to buy my 11" Chef's Knife. So I wanna have a reason to buy a 12" blade.
  11. argh! i envy you rich folks. i'm right now planning to get a 11" Drop forged Global Chef's Knife. Do I really need it? nah..it's even bigger than my chopping board. Why do i want it? ahahah Cuz i wanted a 8" Chef's Knife but for a little more i get the 11" and besides, I already have a 6" Santoku.
  12. slaked lime, isn't that Calcium Hydroxide (CaOH)? can't you get that from any hardware store..heck..any building material store. it's the stuff they use to make cement.

  14. I've had Kopi Luwat coffee... it's actually the best coffee I've ever had... but still not worth the price tag. I think it worked out to something like $12 per cup. Other than that, the most exotic thing I've had is snake. ewww...Poop Coffee! how did it taste like anyway?
  15. I like this place called MOS burger they sell BBQ Eel burgers (Unagi) that are GOOOOOD there's also seafood kariage burger which is shrimp and scallops deepfried in batter served on rice buns
  16. Don't ever go to a crawfish boil. Thier screams of anguish as they are dunked into that hot spicy water would make your cry Drunken Prawn is YUMMY just souse the live prawns in rice wine for a few minutes then boil :) yUm!

  19. McDonald's is supposed to have uniform food all around the world but the McDonald's in Singapore really sucks. UGH I much prefer Burger King.

  21. Peaches and Cream Corn on the Cob. Corn so fresh that i'm standing there in the field, plucking the corn right off the stalk, shucking off the silk and eating it on the spot. Delicious!
  22. how about some Soylent Green? it's delicious it's nutritious, just don't ask where it comes from.
  23. Deepfried baby squid is DELICIOUS!!!!!!!! so is thai chicken feet salad.
