  11. I once read that in England, more than 750,000 workers have to work on Christmas Day including a good number of students.... On Christmas Day and New Years Day, one sometimes can get double pay which is a very attractive offer for students or anyone who desires the extra cash. So, how do you handle these special holidays if you are in the hospitality business? Inner anger? Accustomed to it and therefore not feeling any pain at the prospects? Pleased to make extra pay? Workload easier than usual because of the holiday? Patrons more pleasant? Larger tips? Let it all hang out if this is your personal situation: pros and cons alike!

It is very cold here in Atlanta at the moment so my meal reflects the winter "cocooning" urge .. eastern European Ashkenzic-style: home cured gravlax Pullet chicken soup with homemade noodles (lukshen) Matzo balls with parsley flecks ... fluffy, of course Hearts of palm salad with grape tomatoes, calamatas and garlic Dijon vinaigrette Baked chicken with kishke potato kugel (same type mixture as latkes from earlier Hanukkah party on Tuesday night) cranberry-orange-apple stuffed acorn squash fresh asparagus mimosa challah and wine (have yet to consider a dessert) Shabbat shalom to everyone!

  23. The Snake: Moroccan pastry first learned about and tasted it when I lived in Morocco as a kid ... divine! This was the hit of my catering business! You already have the almond paste so go for it! It is beautiful and you will love the taste! check out the photo of this!!
