Another New Member introduction

I found this place a few weeks ago and have been a reading fool. Belonging to several cigar boards, telling a new person to read up before posing is a very good suggestion and am glad I followed that advice.

As I mentioned cigars, saying they are a passion is an understatement. What started as a Christmas gift a few years back has turned into an obsession. During one of our get togethers' I was introduced to HC7, HC5 and Mojitos (not using the Havana Club  )

I was hooked and the 2 1/2 yr search for the perfect bottle of rum is still going. At one time I sent Ed an e-mail asking for help about rums that don't taste like a whiskey barrel. Since then RonZ has been my favorite. The lists of rum tried is fairly long and have enjoyed most for what they are, with the exception of Captain Morgan Private stock which is vile, even in mixed drinks.

Thanks for all the good reading, and unknown suggestions for the Eldorado 15. I have a big load of rum coming in tomorrow from more recommendations made here that I haven't tried.

4- RonZ 23yr (running low LOL)

1- Pyrat Planters XO

1- Zaya

1- Angostura 1824

1- Cruzan Single Barrel

1- 1 Barrel Rum Belize

Still looking for the Santa Teresa, but think I have enough to keep me busy for a while.

Once again great place here, and look forward to contributing whatever I can.

Rum is such a varied spirit, you owe it to yourself to enjoy these spirits for what they are.

I have to agree with your assessment of Captain Morgan Private Stock.

On the other hand, Angostura has greatly improved their 1824 since I first tasted it in about 2001.

Enjoy the rum, and the journey.
