Maybe this is selfish, but I for one would love to see Chef Randy come on up to The Windy City!

I now just started at another place. Interestingly enough, I think most if not all of us Laidback alums except for Randy have ended up at the same place.

And where is that?

Just down the street at 17 @ the Alden Hotel.

I haven't made it to 17 but have heard very things about it. I have a birthday coming up and was thinking Bistro Moderne, 17 or Marks. A friend talked me out of Marks because he felt the exact same way about the place as I did, its too incosistant to be a great restaurant. I've had great meals at Marks and some truly dissapointing ones. So its down to BM or 17.

I agree about Mark's. Also, it seems that for special occasions I have been in the mood to try places I haven't been to.

So its down to BM or 17.

Based on acronyms, I would go with 17. :laugh:
