ISO: Bergamot Oranges in Houston

Any ideas where I might find bergamot oranges or Seville oranges in Houston? I'm here for the next 8 days and would like to try some things with bergamots.

I would think that if anyone had them it would be Central Market or Whole Foods.

Southside Place (just South of Rice University).

I've been to Rice Epicurean and Whole Foods. No dice (although Whole Foods did have Kaffir limes).

There is a really big HEB at the 610 loop and Gulf Freeway. The closest big Fiesta might be the one on I-10, Katy Freeway just outside the loop. I would call first. Also try Hong Kong Market on Bellaire Blvd at Boone Road. That is quite a hike but might be worth the trip. After all, you can go down the road a bit to the Kroger center at Synott and get some tamales from Dona Tere. Let us know how you do.

Central Market on Weslayan and Westheimer would be your best bet. I was there last weekend, but did not spend much time in the fruit section. They did have a large variety of oranges.

I was at Central Market yesterday and did not notice Bergamont oranges.

You're not going to find bergamot oranges in Houston, I'm afraid. Not enough interest/demand for this orange.
