Saturnalia! now there is something to celebrate ;).

In my HS latin class we always had a Saturnalia celebration, although we substituted a pig-shaped pinata filled with candy for an actual pig stuffed with sweetbreads and all...

He don't mix meat and dairy,

He don't eat humble pie,

So sing a miserere

And hang the bastard high!

Festivus ice cream is no more

And thanks for reminding me that my favorite Ben and Jerry's flavor is history.

:hmmm:  :sad:

Never watched Seinfeld so I had no idea this thread WASN'T about the B&J's ice cream until I started reading it.

However, I just returned from my local B&J's store where I am thrilled to announce that the Festivus Flavor has been brought back from the dead. I haven't found it any grocery stores the way I used to, but I'm happy enough going to the B&J store for a pint or two!

Hooray -- Festivus!!! :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

:hmmm: Well, the cable guy is coming that day. Cause for further celebration. :laugh: Already aired the grievances with Satellite purveyors. :angry:

Guess the DH is next! :raz::laugh: And we'll be going by these updated rules from the Urban Dictionary.

The Festivus consists of "The Airing of Grievances" and the "Feats of Strength". However, in accordance with the official Brisbane-Adelaide agreement “The Airing of Grievances” will be now known as “The Time of Crap Speeches” and “Feats of Strength” will be now known as “Crushing Booze”.

We'll be eating homemade pizza with beer and vanilla IC with cinnamon/pecan sauce. No B&J's near me. :wink:

One woman very courteously approached me in a grocery store, saying, "Excuse me, but I must ask why you've brought your dog into the store." I told her that Grace is a service dog.... "Excuse me, but you told me that your dog is allowed in the store because she's a service dog. Is she Army or Navy?" Terry Thistlewaite
