BBC food comedy with Richard E Grant and Arabella Weir. The web site's brilliant. Pity I'm going to be on holiday and shan't be able to watch the show next week, but I have a feeling that after enjoying the web site so much, the show's unlikely to live up to expectations.

 Brilliant.

From one of the videos on the site:

Bottarga is the cashmere of fish... It's firm and moist like Tom Cruise after a hot bath.

Grant is simply perfect.

TV version is also very good, especially the vocab.

Entire thing is very 'Withnail and I'.

Hmm... Uncle Monte should make an appearance and teach everyone how to grow firm, young carrots.

I can't help thinking of Uncle Monte and Andy Lynes being one and the same person

You mean like the fine organic carrots from Camberwell?

That's what I love about this place. There's always someone who can be counted on to announce the bleedin' obvious.

What I love about this place is that you can become involved in dialogue with folk of the type to whom one wouldn't normally give the time of day.

I can't wait until this hits BBC America.

Or BBC Canada.

I'm surprised there is even a need for them to run a BBC Canada, theres ZERO US-specific content on BBC America. I get it by DirecTV satellite...

Actually, I think there a couple of flavours of BBC Canada. I'm on digital cable.

There will probably be a tacky US knockoff within two years.

With John Ritter plating the Richard E. Grant part.
