After Napa I'm in SF for a few days....where should I go? How about some mid-priced bistro places also.

If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding. How could you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat!??

I don't think you'll be impressed by Boulevard. Danko is supposed to be excellent, one of the top 5 in town. Although I don't know anyone who's been to Masa, I've heard it's very good.

I think Boulevard is great!! I've been there 4 times and loved it each time.

PS I think DStone001 and I go through this every time Boulevard comes up.

PPS . If you peruse the rest of the California board, you'll see this same question asked with tons of recemmendations.

The Chef at Masas is Ron Siegal (he is the guy who was the first American to win the Iron Chef). Julian Serrano has no connection to Masas anymore

I would pick Fleur de Lys over Danko and even Masa's, although we had a wonderful meal at Masa's.

I'm repeating myself but I think Zuni is a fun, mid-priced place, especially for Sunday lunch.

For a typical SF experience sit at the counter at Swan Oyster Depot.
