Had an excellent meal with some business colleagues on Monday at Yardbird in South Beach. This was a finalist for Best New Restaurant 2012 in the James Beard Awards.

Kale Salad, which was the healthiest thing on the menu. Refreshingly good, I would never expect to eat kale this way.

I think Yardbird is a restaurant that was desperately needed in Miami, considering that South Florida has never really had a fine dining establishment that could be classified as truly "Southern" in nature.
