Silpoura

I was looking around for something else, and discovered Silpoura. Anyone try this? Any comments? It looks like it may be another overhyped kitchen gadget, but ....

Interesting. Wouldn't bet on the 'strainer' part of the set-up, but maybe the Silpoura will soon appear at a store near you....or me...

I have a very similar device for paint cans, it works very well on them. Seems like it ought to work fine.

I've tried a couple of similar products.

This one didn't work - liquid got under the inner edge and spilled out and the thing would not work at all on pans with a rolled or flared edge.

This one fell off the first time I used it so went straight into the trash.

The Silpoura looks like it has an extra clip thingy to keep it firmly attached to a pot. Worth a try, thanks for posting the link.

I didn't see anything I couldn't already do with a slotted spoon or a batter funnel, but I'll admit that not everybody has a batter funnel. (They should though. It makes pancakes super fun, and it functions as a makeshift separatory funnel.)
