Gen. Lafayette Inn

I drove by the Gen Laf last Friday around four or so for a brew and saw an empty parking lot with a chain across it's entrance. Anyone know what's happening?

It closed back in September (2010.) I was under the impression that they might have continued to brew beer, but the bar/restaurant is closed for good, or until someone buys it and tries again...

Since that blog post, the Copper Crow deal to contract brew with Prism Brewing has fallen through and I haven't seen any updates from the ex-Lafayette crew in a while.

It's a shame. For a while I lived in Conshohocken and it was one of the bright spots in the area at that time. Their cask ales and Belgians were always great. The food never measured up to the beer, though.

The closing fell completly below my radar. I liked their brew and the joint was within reach from the Green Lane Bridge.
