    Dinner 2017 (Part 3)

The idea for a fisherman's burger was created on holiday when my daughter ordered a meal with a similar name and she was very disappointed. The fish – which came in a crispy roll - was so heavily spiced that we didn't know if it was a fish or something different. You may use any kind of fresh fish to prepare a fisherman's burger: codfish, hake or pollock, but salmon would be great as well. Ingredients (for 4 people):Fish burger: 500g of fresh fish 1 onion 1 clove of garlic 4 tablespoons of minced dill 1 small kaiser roll 1 egg 200ml of milk 1 tablespoon of butter salt and pepper 3 tablespoons of breadcrumbs 3 tablespoons of sesame seedsDip: 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise 2 tablespoons of natural yoghurt ½ onion ½ apple 6 pickled mushrooms ½ teaspoon of mustard pepperothers 4 fresh kaiser rolls lettuce tomato red onion the whole recipe here
  11. Today I would like to show you the tart which you may prepare with almost all season fruit. In Poland I use to make it with raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, currants or goosberries. The advantage of this cake is the whole wheat flour. Thanks to it the texture is very interesting. It is one of my favourite summer cakes Ingredients: dough: 250g of whole wheat flour 75g of caster sugar a pinch of salt 150g of butter 1 eggfilling: 400g of blueberries 100g of red currants 100g of gooseberries 3 tablespoons of flour 1 tablespoon of starch 5 tablespoons of sugar the whole recipe is here

    Dinner 2017 (Part 3)

The courgette is one of my favourite vegetables. When during the autumn there are beautiful, ripe and fresh ones at the market, I buy them very often. You can use them to prepare a lot of dishes, such as soups, salads and stewed courgette. Two years ago I found at the market some courgettes in an interesting round shape, and since then I have prepared stuffed courgette more often. They are ideal for this purpose, as they are fleshy and their shape lets you fill with them with a barrel of stuffing. So far I have filled courgettes with minced meat or buckwheat groats and tomatoes. Today I propose that you prepare some stuffing with bulgur and smoked bacon and dried tomatoes. Bulgur is a kind of cereal food made from rich wheat groats. It contains a lot of potassium, calcium, sodium and magnesium, all of which enable the cardiovascular system to work properly. It is a rich source of dietary fibre which reduces our bad cholesterol level. It is recommended for people who are exposed to stress and strain, because it is rich in vitamin B and magnesium – nutrients which make the nervous system work properly. Ingredients: 3 round courgettes 100g of bulgur 200g of smoked bacon 1 onion 2 cloves of garlic 4 dried tomatoes half a red sweet pepper 100g of emmenthal cheese 2 sprigs of rosemary 1 teaspoon of powdered sweet pepper salt and pepper the whole recipe is here
  14. We like simple, ease to prepare and nice looking desserts. There are certain combinations which always hold good. There are dishes which save us when surprise guests drop in. Chocolate mousse with raspberries, which always turns out well, doesn't need many sophisticated ingredients and you can make it with different kinds of fruit. Ingredients (for two people): 150g of raspberries 1 teaspoon of caster sugar 100g of mascarpone cheese 100g of natural yoghurt 75g of dark chocolate a few leaves of peppermint Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie and leave it to cool down slightly. Whip the mascarpone cheese and natural yoghurt to make a fluffy mass. Mix it in with the chocolate. Set aside a few of the most beautiful raspberries, and crush the rest with a fork. If they are too sour, add caster sugar and mix it in. Apply the raspberry mousse and then the chocolate mousse to a cup. Decorate the top of the dessert with the raspberries and peppermint leaves. Serve chilled. recipe on the blog

  16. it is not so common but more and more popular in Poland, especially in restaurants where it is served within many dishes and treated as a "more healthy" food; personally I use it sometimes as an extra for fish dishes
