  1. Lu Nello. Totowa?? Never been but I hear that it's a friendly place if the owner knows you.
  2. Anthony Lo Pinto, the chef at Casa Di Amici does an excellent job. I've never been disappointed in his cooking. However, he is the chef and Joe is the owner and Joe calls the shots. Joe also owns Gourmet Cafe.
  3. Have you tried Siena in Kinnelon yet? Any comments?
  4. Our very own Chef Lou Reda of An American Grill, 246 Route 10 W, Randolph (973-442-9311) will be participating in the Dine Out for Hunger program on this Mon. 4/21. He will be donating 20% of the evenings proceeds to the FoodBank. Lowell and I will be dining at An American Grill around 6:30 on Monday evening. Please join us. If you can make it call Lou and tell him to add your name to the list and we will have an eGullet table. Also let us know here. I hope you will be able to support this worthwhile charity event.
  5. I think Restaurant Nicholas is the best NJ restaurant that I have been to. Have you been to Rat's?

  10. I've had several fine meals at the P&O and one or two that weren't OK. For the question that was asked, I believe my answer was both appropriate and suitable. de gustibus non disputandum esse Rail Paul---I HEAR YOU. But this is a graduation dinner. Where would you go??
  11. Please let us know where you like to dine in NJ.
  12. Park and Orchard is known for their wine list. Many people love this restaurant. I think it is noisy and when I dined there I felt like I was eating in a high school cafeteria or airplane hanger.

  17. MACKEY--Thank you for your post and welcome to eGullet. Please be sure to tell us about other restaurants that you have dined at. I don't have the menu for 95 Greene. However, Glenn works in the restaurant industry and knows his food. Since Chef Billy Woods of 95 Greene, formerly of Ruby Foo's, NYC and Theater Square Grill, Newark has some background in Asian cuisine it is possible that the foods that Glenn described were served as a special when he dined at 95 Greene. If you are the chef or work the line there then please except my apology. Food Forums are for everyone's opinion. It's OK to disagree with someone's opinion about a restaurant and you should certainly post your own opinion. Name calling is not encouraged though. Again welcome and do tell us about the places you like. And do tell us what you like at 95 Greene. I haven't been there but will certainly try to get there ASAP.

The annual "Taste of the Nation" is being held at the Madison Hotel on Route 124 in Convent Station tonight from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. 30 or so of the areas best restaurants sample their finest cuisine so grab a a few friends and head over there for some really terrific food, wine and an exciting silent auction. Half of the proceeds benefit the Foodbank and I guarantee you'll really love this event. Tickets are $75 and you can buy them at the door. Hope to see you there!
