I'm not sure that elyse is entirely serious. Now, snap traps: THOSE are inhumane -- to the person who has to clean up the bloody mess. I am entirely serious. Poison and glue are slow cruel deaths. I've seen mice die this way, and it sucks. Get the snap traps so it dies quickly, or humane traps if you will take the time to release the mouse elsewhere (like you'd ever do that). When I have seen these mice dying, I have killed them off myself so the thing, carrier or not, doesn't suffer longer than is necessary. I just don't believe suffering is right. For any reason.

Growing up, I had friends whose parents put slipcovers on everything. Not the kind of life I want to lead. If you haven't lounged on vinyl slipcovers naked and jumped up to answer the phone, you haven't lived.

Burger Club reviews the burger as the burger, not as the restaurant's interpretation of the burger. If it were otherwise, there would be no basis for critique, no common thread. The consistent thing must be the burger, or there is no point to Burger Club. Then call it Crap Between Two Pieces Of Something Club.

I don't understand your comment. Is NJ Transit planning to encourage and condone sexual activity among its trains and its passengers? It would be much easier just to pretend not to notice, than to put up a sign that they're encouraging that activity... NJ Transit would have more customers if they did!

I totally suck. I started with jaymes' I think, last week, and still have some left. Then this week, I did browniebaker's, ran out, and did your's. BUT somehow, I ended up mixing up your's and browniebaker's, so I can't really side by side them. Plus, I think yours has rum in it, and I couldn't do that at the market, really. Sigh. Anyway, I'll have to do them all again, and do them right. BUT one guy came back three times to buy more pies. He really liked them, I guess. They're all getting fabulous responses.

Also, I got 19 people wanting pies and stuff for Thanksgiving, so I'll be coming out for a couple of hours around then if anyone wants to jump on the bandwagon.

You know, I use my sponges pretty much until they fall apart, and I almost never wash them. I may sanitize them if the thing I am sanitizing needs a sponge with which to sanitize... the thing. So what's the deal? Am I sick? Will I get cancer? What's going to happen to me if I continue this obvious insanity?
