  1. I've ordered it from Amazon UK. It should be delivered next week. I am looking forward to receiving it.
  2. I've used a combination of PB and white chocolate to get a really good centre
  3. Some like them candied, some like them covered or dipped in chocolate, some like them as mediants and some like them stuffed with caramel and dipped in chocolate but just about EVERYBODY likes BACON!
  4. I did the same recipe and it turned out well. I saw him using a full pan, so I was prepared for that. The only changes I would make would have been to do a bit more of the rice krispie base. My bar seemed a bit top-heavy...too much chocolate/PB/Nutella and not enough base. Other than that it was perfect. By the way you can find the recipe in the Baked cookbook, except without Nutella.
  5. Has anyone received this book? I can't find it on Amazon anymore...
  6. Seth, what types of challenges would be in your wheelhouse? Can you give me an example or two that you feel would be better suited for you and/or would be more appropriate for this type of show?
  7. Thanks everyone Sebastian, those were the videos I remember watching. Thanks for the link. Mel Z - thanks for the tips!
  8. About a year ago I watched a couple of videos of Joseph Schmidt showing how he made his decorative chocolate bowls. I *think* they were on his old website. Did anyone see them? and are they still out there somewhere? Thanks
  9. Sure, it is actually the recipe that won the Top Chef Just Desserts challenge last week. Here is the link http://www.bravotv.com/foodies/recipes/peanut-butter-krispy-bar I made a couple of minor changes but mine ended up being a bit top-heavy...not enough Rice Krispiage and probably too much chocolate (if there is such a thing )
  10. The middle layer is nutella and milk chocolate. The top layer is peanut butter and dark chocolate.
  11. Peanut Butter, Nutella and Chocolate Rice Krispie Bars
  12. They asked Tom, Gail and Eric this exact question. Tom felt that Tiffani from Season 1 will do very well. He said she would have won Season 1 if she did a 1 course tasting menu rather than doing 2. Gail felt that Tre went home early and thinks he will do well. Eric Ripert is rooting for Jennifer as she works for him in Philadelphia but thinks Marcel could win it all IF he has learned new molecular techniques since Season 2.
  13. Thank you so much for your detailed explanation. I plan on trying this before Christmas. I will let you know how these turn out.
  14. The All Star cast was revealed tonight on Bravo, right at the end of the "Watch What Happens" reunion show. Here is the entire cast: Season One: Stephen and Tiffani Season Two: Elia and Marcel Season Three: Tre, Casey and Dale Season Four: Dale, Spike, Antonia and Richard Season Five: Jamie, Fabio and Carla Season Six: Mike Isabella and Jen C. Season Seven: Tiffany and Angelo It is supposed to premiere on December 1st.
  15. Anyone attempt Marrons Glace recently? If so do you have any pointers? Thanks
  16. Hey Kerry, I will attend. Also I can help you organize this if you need me to
  17. David's Strawberry Frozen Yogurt is fantastic. You could try that as a stand-in for the ice cream
  18. Sounds like a good time. It was too bad I couldn't come and meet you. Maybe next year
  19. I'm still watching it too. It definitely isn't as interesting as last year but I do enjoy Susur (but that might be because I am live near Toronto)
  20. I really enjoyed the show. It is similar to Ace of Cakes, but with chocolate. Not sure if you like that type of thing.
  21. Darienne, what type of restaurant are you looking for? I eat in Burlington all the time
  22. Looks like a great time Kerry. What were you able to find out regarding the Thermomixers?
  23. I don't often eat alone in Toronto but the few times I've been there, I have eaten at Pizzeria Libretto
  24. Remove the "S" from the site search to get a few more ideas : http://www.tastespotting.com/search/lollipop/1
  25. I read somewhere that you can make the best Quenelle spoon by selecting a large spoon, cutting off the bowl part, turning it around, and reattaching it. Basically you turn the bowl around. Never tried it though. Actually it was from Chef Francisco Migoya, as you can see from his facebook post: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=101320359884191
