    Homemade pistachio frangipane. The recipe as written is a little wonky. It called for 5 small plums, and I used six, still needed more. The frangipane is especially tasty though.

    Finally got the gas leak fixed! I’ve missed pizza (mine ☺️). Got the Ooni out. Italian sausage, Vidalia onion and mushroom. It does go well with Prosecco.

    Decided to start cooking through a list of saved recipes. This one is a keeper. Pork milanese, lemon parm basmati rice, arugula salad with a creamy lemon vinaigrette.

    Bought a loaf of Trader Joe’s cinnamon sugar bread. Worked great for French toast.

    Hatch Chile Mac & Cheese. Smoked Gouda and sharp cheddar.

    Carbonara Pasta pie. Buccatini, pancetta, peas, cream, eggs and cheese. Was really good.

    Exactly. My aunt put them in her spaghetti sauce, and that’s all you could taste 🤢.

    Since I’m back in the south, I’m making biscuits more often. Having better access to self rising White Lily helps Bacon, Gruyère and chives.

    Tomato galette, a little wonky, but it’s a galette. . Herb and parm dough, tomatoes, Italian blend cheese, extra parm and basil. Tasty with a side salad.

    I despise them. Pick them off/out anything they are in. Doesn’t really help much, everything they touch tastes like them🤢.

    Made a grandma style pizza. Gas is shut off so we can have a repair for a leak, so no pizza oven. Italian sausage, pepperoni, caramelized onions, garlic oil and basil.

    Happy 4th macarons. Vanilla bean buttercream and a pack of free 4th sprinkles that came with an order.

    I make this recipe all the time and they can be baked whenever you want. The longer wait time allows for the flour to hydrate more, but there won’t be that much difference and you’ll be able to tell if they are ok to use for your event.

    Bake some off and see. I left out the brown sugar while I was on the phone, so I just mixed it in. The dough was fine. I don’t think it will affect it that much.

    Nice day by the pool for snacks. Pancetta Mushroom Tartletts, Hot Honey Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Arancini with tomato sauce, olives, grilled rosemary bread and Prosecco!
