Some of the last of our sweet corn with fries and hot wings My mom came from Colorado to see us --and thankfully help me can--and she took a lot of garden goodies home with her I didn't take many pictures while she was here. Too busy talking. But here are a few. First night she was here we did homemade spaghetti sauce, venison meatballs, salad. No pics of that, but I did take one of the wonderful Harbison cheese. I made @kayb's lemon icebox pie. Very good! And I have one in the freezer for another time. Tuesday night was fried fish and mac and cheese--using truffle cheese and the melty cheese calculator. Mom now has a container of sodium citrate and will be using the calculator too Wednesday night was pizza night. Thursday--and the last night was Asian food. @Anna N's tomato salad Pork belly Egg rolls, sweet and sour tofu, ramen noodles and bok choy to go with

Good grief. I don't think that looks good at all. But, is that a real plate? Not paper? I've never seen that around here. However, we also don't have to pay to watch tv.

I just hope that you can outta there asap--and eat those snacks at home!

Good LORD and I am looking up to our LORD. I can't believe this. My mother-in-law and my father-in-law both have been in the hospital for extended times. At the very least they can order off of a menu! However, it wasn't good most of the time. I remember one lunch was beef stroganoff. UGH. My father in law wouldn't take a bite. And , when I walked out of his room to go to the bathroom, I discovered that no one in the whole ward wanted it either.

Wow! Thanks so much. Very interesting. They look almost like a Christmas Cactus in a way. I splurged and bought a white fleshed one a few years ago. Very underwhelmed. I'm sure fresh like yours, they are very very good. And the red is SO pretty.
