And a lot of money for gas.

I just learned something I never would have guessed. Drive-thru liquor stores are legal in California. I've been entertained by this post and also learned something.

I've recently switched over to alcohol Prep pads. Much quicker and simpler.

I should have been so lucky. When we had meals with my mother, my DW and/or I would go through the plates and silverware for things that actually got clean. We would re-wash the still-dirty items.

We've been members since 1994 (when it was Price Club around here) and never have thought about letting our membership lapse. I am in a large suburban area with 2 Costcos close by, and more in my normal circuit of driving. The cost savings on gasoline really adds up. Although it is just my DW and myself I shop there almost every week - I do 99% of the grocery shopping. They have Boudin's San Francisco Sourdough bread for my Sweetie, and Milton's Multigrain for me. I get eggs, butter and cheese there. Dishwasher detergent and Reynolds foil prices beat anywhere else I can easily shop. I don't buy produce there because we can't go through it fast enough. I take 800 mg doses of ibuprofen (under a doctor's care). Instead of messing around with yet another prescription I just buy the house-brand ibuprofen. It the same per-dose cost as getting a prescription. Before I retired from doing renaissance faires I spent around $3,000/year for feast food there. That added another $60.00 to my 2% rebate. My DW and I have, sadly, an array of health issues and we use the Costco pharmacy at the one near my DW's work. I don't have to tell them my name because I'm there so often. I just have to tell them if I'm picking up for me, for my DW or both. It's not for everybody, but membership is a benefit to me. Now I'll give you a small laugh. I shop at the 2 closest Costcos so much I have favorite cashiers. One particular cashier greets me by name, another asks about how my DW is doing. When P was gone for a while I inquired and found out he was out on medical. When he returned I made a point of going over and telling him I was glad he was back.

Starter Sourdough wooed me.

If I serve asparagus for dinner, I will smell the difference in my urine. Not a bad smell, just different. Love, love, love cilantro as does my wife.

My DW and I vacation in a housekeeping cabin in the eastern Sierras that is, for how we like to cook, poorly equipped - basically the cheapest things they could buy at a Walmart. New management has helped some but it still isn't to our liking It sounds very much like your AirBnB kitchens. Because we travel in a pickup truck with a camper shell space is not an issue for us. We carry all of the pots and pans we will need for our menus, plus the 2 large and 1 small tubs full of items of our preference. I would suggest a roll of heavy-duty foil. Useful for many things. Here is a picture of some of the utensils we carry in case anything pictured suggests something to you. I carry a separate knife roll but you already know about your knife needs. I envy your ability to take your children on trips like you describe. Now we have grandchildren in that age range.

Unless future health issues force a change, I won't eat plant-based meat substitutes. There's no reason to for me. (And some rabid vegans I've known in the past have made it even less desirable) I've not needed to eat bugs but if I had to I would.

Why, yes we ....oh, shiny

I bought minis of St Germaine and absinthe today. I'll be trying this tonight.

I suspect you'll be busy.

After posting I remembered that we have a perfectly fine deep electric skillet that would do just fine. I expect to carry some seldom-needed stuff in the camper shell so it wouldn't take up valuable storage space in the trailer.

I buy Pepperidge Farm Texas Toast. Use it every 2 or 3 months for something different.

Update thought. Whenever I see offers with the "only so many minutes" clock I experience scepticism as to why they're trying to panic you into a decision.

I've had 2 George Foreman. I found them to be a pain to clean. I don't recall any temperature control on the ones I had. My only thought was that it would provide a way to cook outside when use of fire was banned because of fire hazard. Of course I'm still a ways away from getting our travel trailer so at the moment it's just a curiosity.

I could be mistaken but those labels look like products I saw at a Costco Road Show. I didn't buy any because it didn't interest me.

Interesting that they show a variety of inserts but only the smooth and grill pans come with it. The others are separately ordered. I'd consider doing Smoke Green for a travel trailer but 220AC rules it out.

Is that Picnic Island that looks like a submarine?

Another vote for an S/S prep table. It was the first thing I thought of.

I do this in one of my ren faire kitchens. One up to counter height, one up to 40 inches for the tall people (they love it).

IMHO well worth owning.
