That specific passage refers to injectable drug usage. The song aas a whole is about addiction and substance abuse. Dan ←

It goes either way. I've seen folks in flip flops and tank tops as well as some other folks pretty decked out. Casual but neat would probably get you in the door almost anywhere. It is the beach, after all. ← Thanks Katie!

Head upstairs to Martini Beach for better drinks and food. Much as I like Cabana's, there's no contest which menu is better. Unless the crappy fries are the thing that keeps you going back... ← Hey I just noticed that I wrote CRAPPY fries and what I meant was CRABBY fries. Anyhow we are heading back down to Cape May the weekend of June 1st, any updates on the restaurant scene. Have you tried Moonfish Grill? Oh and is Martini Beach casual or dressy? Thanks for any updates.

I hope my not so great experience is a fluke because I truly loved it the first time out but I can see how WTC did have the experience she did because so did I. My husband thought that our pizza was probably too close to the fire and it cooked to fast outside/bottom and not enough though the crust. I am sure this can happen sometimes when using pizza ovens -- Again I highly recommend the place since it sounds like most times they are spot on.

OH NO - I guess it was bound to happen. I had an experience similiar to WTC original post. My husband and I went back and ordered the margarita pizza again, since we raved about it last time. ALAS it was not to be.. (sorry for the drama, but we were so disappointed) The pizza was practically burnt on the bottom, lots of not the good kind of char and the crust was way to chewy - not yummy chewy but roll up into a ball of glue chewy. And there was too much sauce(which even tasted different) and most of the pizza was soggy. I am hoping this is a rare experience and I did see that it was a different pizza guy making the pizza so I will be going back to see if I can re-create the first impression that I had. I figured in fairness to WTC I would post this, although I would still recommend this place as I am hoping it is better more times than not.

My husband and I went here this Saturday and we had the complete opposite experience. I have never had a better wood burning fresh margherita pizza- our pizza was great - the crust held up to the sauce without getting soggy on the bottom which I am sorry but everytime I have eaten at Brooklyn's the pizza is ALWAYS soggy right through to the bottom, frankly I was amazed this pizza was not soggy with all the yummy sauce on it. The ingredients tasted wonderfully fresh and the crust/dough was fantastic, you could smell the freshness. I was quite impressed. Maybe in the months since you have been there is has improved, have you been back recently. Or maybe they are hit and miss and I was happy to be there for a hit. My husband also orderd a crab cake from the deli and they heated it for him to eat in the restaurant he said it was very good.

I know this place in Hawthorne, Sabor has tapas - I don't know if they do takeout but I linked their menu - friends have been there and enjoyed it very much. http://www.ardore.com/externalmenus/sabor16/dinnernew.asp

I think I remember seeing information on Earth on Tommy Eats. I don't know what is the proper linking procedure here, Tommy do you want to link it to your site? Peace

I am so disappointed in the fries I have had lately. They are either to cold, to soggy, to greasy or to salty (if there could be a such a thing) Anyway where have the fries of yesterday gone the ones that were nice and hot and crispy on the outside and soft an yummy on the inside. Has anyone had some good fries lately , and if so please do tell. Thanks!

Thanks for the feeback guys - I guess the answer is to go on a weeknight If I feel like going - I live more in the ridgewood/midland park/glen rock area so I might not make the trip if I wasn't visiting in Montclair. I wish there was a good bar un the above area for 30-40 year olds where you can sit at the bar and get decent food. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi Tommy, We are taking friends to Oceano's this weekend and they are serious fishheads. Since I have only had appetizers there I was wondering if you could recommend any outstanding fish dishes you have had there. Thanks so much.

I believe Fascino in Montclair is considered Italian - this place definately uses fresh ingredients in unique ways. It is in City Guides "Best Italian" in NJ voting section. Have you been there yet Tommy? http://search.cityguide.aol.com/northjerse...ino/v-118136141

Thanks Tommy - I get it now.

Tommy and all, I know I am showing my ignorance here but what does "red sauce place" mean? I can surmise the red sauce and Italian going together but is the term meant as a negative comment? Thanks

Have you tried Marra's or Marcello's in Ridgewood lately. I have not been to either in a while but I have had some enjoyable meals there. I have had some good standards (stuffed artichoke) pasta dishes at IL Mulino in Dumont also there is Cafe Italiano Ristorante in Englewood, but I have not been there in a long while.

You are FAMOUS!

Tommy - thanks for another great recommendation! My husband and I went to Oceano's on Saturday and we had a great time. We sat at the bar which we love to do and it was so nice in there - very welcoming. The bar was not crowded since we went fairly early for a Saturday. The staff is so friendly it is refreshing. The owners were very nice and personable. We started with some drinks, light beer for me and tequila for my hubbie (he was duly impressed with their tequila selection) We shared some appetizers and a greek salad. We got the coconut shrimp which we thought was pan-fried it was so fresh tasing so we asked and they said no they were deep fried but they change their oil everyday. I guess that means other places don't since I have had coconut shrimp out before that tasted like fried calamari -wow so good. We split the greek salad that was very fresh and light, nice dressing and not a SINGLE bad leaf, which turns me off at other places. My husband had the oyster sampler which he liked alot especially the smaller oyster from Oregon, which I can't remember the name of. We also had the zucchini and egglant chips, again fried but very fresh. I also loved the olive oil they served with the bread and the complimentary olives were wonderful. I even loved the spicey nut mix they had at the bar, and I do mean SPICY! even they tasted like they were good for you. All and all we will be back to try more soon. Thanks again.

Of course all the good things in life are fried, like the samosas and pakora- I think I will skip the appetizers and stick to the entrees. I think I am going to get the BIRYANI - though the CHICKEN VINDALOO sounds tasty also.

Thanks Tommy - I think we are going to order take out as they have a 2 year old -- but I have the BYOB at home -- I think Mela it is - I will check out their menu. The only thing that ever worries me about Indian food is sometimes it can be quite greasy. Thanks again.

We are having it at our house - first time for both sides of the family -- so around 14 for dinner and more for dessert!! I think we are going to cook 2 15 lb turkeys instead of 1 30 lb - My husband brines the turkey ala Alton Brown and it is FANTASTIC! We have 2 stuffings one corn and one sage/rosemary - because my mom and I can't agree on just one. Then we have the sides, creamed cauliflower, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, turnips, maybe a green bean salad, homemade cranberry sauce and the canned gunk for those who still have to have it. And since my Italian in laws are coming they are bringing the pasta with meatballs. Then my sister in law who makes the best desserts is making pecan pie, pumpkin pie and chocolate cream pie (my favorite) and hopefully my Mom is making her pumpkin bread. Usually before bed when everyone is gone my husband and I go back for some leftover stuffing with gravy -- jeez he even eats it the next morning cold. ughhh Have a happy Day everyone!

After all the looking in Montclair we ended up at a cafe called New Leaf in the Cloister at Fort Tryon in New York. One of the people in our party lives near there and she wanted us to come there. I have relatives in Montclair so I will be back - I want to try Osteria Giotto- I saw this when I was looking for places, it looks nice. Thanks again
