  1. Gee, I forgot about pork neck bones. I usually do them with black beans and onions. Yummy!
  2. I love nice crispy wing tips. Unfortunately a lot of people remove them. I've been known to eat whole tips, meat and all. I can polish off a plate of tips with no problem!
  3. John, That's amazing! I hate lobster mainly because of it's looks too! I'll eat the meat is it's removed from the body, but I'm not going to sit and pick at an animal that looks like a giant cockroach. I also intensely dislike brussel sprouts. Bleagh!!
  4. Really Rosie? Was it yucky? Iris
  5. Paula J, How about Molly Pitcher Inn in Red Bank? Sally Tee's in Monmouth Beach?
  6. Joe and Maggie's is one of my favorite local restaurants. I've enjoyed every entree I've ever eaten there. It also used to be my local bar, so I'm sure that's very endearing to me also. Brunch at Ocean Place Hotel? Hmmmm, I don't know about that. My sister used to be their pastry chef there a few years ago, and her SO is a waiter. I know I've heard horror stories about restaurants before, but these folks seem to be the most knuckled of the knuckleheads. Story after story of inefficiency, stupidity, and bad management. You might want to think twice. Iris
  7. My grandmother wouldn't let me have the center when I was a child. She said it was too sweet. Needless to say, as an adult I crave all the Oreo filling from my repressed childhood! I can picture your grandma going through a newly purchased box of Oreos's, deftly opening them and scraping out the creme centers with a spatula... What did she do with the leftover filling? She probably just threw it out. I can't imagine her and my grandfather 'paryting' with Oreo filling...

    I believe that's her husband.
  9. My grandmother wouldn't let me have the center when I was a child. She said it was too sweet. Needless to say, as an adult I crave all the Oreo filling from my repressed childhood! Those peanut butter Oreos sound fantastic! I'm going to have to try some.
  10. I'm so sick and tired of people bringing their whiny, overcharged children into restaurants. No, I don't think that their running around the dining room is cute. No, I don't want to "bond" with your children. If I wanted children I would have chosen to procreate. I spend as much money on my meal as their inconsiderate, mealy mouthed parents and I'd like to enjoy my lunch/dinner in peace. That is one of my biggest pet peeves. The other is loud boorish people screaming into their cell phones. Give me a break!! Iris
  11. I always feel the need to have pasta with tomato soup as sauce with american cheese. Sounds yucky, doesn't it? But it's what I grew up with!
