pastels cafe on robson for lease, might have been the average coffee , the fact that they never cleared or cleaned the tables (outside anyways) or perhaps the infamous starbucks in stereo on the same corner
no it wasn't, and it was actually on east 10th not west, but the name was similar to asanti or something but was the food was ghana specific and nothing to do with waffles , its now a vietnamese place, thanks for the reply though
"sash " will be opening in former buskowski's space, and ghanaiese(?) restaurant formerly on 200 block east 10th (behind hell's gate mall)no longer, anyone remember the name?? goggled to no avail, only got there once so its a shame that its gone especially as it was the only of its kind in the city, unfortunately the location was about as bad as it gets with "passer-by" traffic about slim to nill
was down at roma on the drive for my coffee the other day and they were removing the awning at front door of bukowski's , anyone know if its just renos or is the place gone for good?
highlight was chili squid from dockside , the first time i've ever enjoyed squid after hearing so many times that i just haven't had it cooked well or from the wrong place, prawns in coconut curry from oasis were huge and very juicy
